Once you hit around level 40, it seems 9 out of every 10 enemies you run into are highly resistant to stabbing type damage.
It’s getting kind of annoying to be hitting for 30-40 damage at level 50.

switch weapon types?
Once you hit level 40 you enter the 2nd dungeon, which is filled with stab vulnerable enemies.
Seriously, practically every single enemy in the tenet chapel is weak to stabbing. Go there!
I made a hoplite on the korean server and was having a blast in that dungeon
Cannot switch weapons. My class uses stabbing type and that is all.
And I have no idea what you are smoking. Enemies in tenet chapel are all normal or strong to stabbing damage. The only enemies in tenet chapel weak to stabbing are Pawndels and Infroholder Archers. And they’re hardly a majority type enemy.
what class are you?
20 characters
Hoplite.
I’m just going to start using a sword. Might not be able to use my abilities, but who cares? At least I do more than 40 damage a hit.
yeah gung ho should be enough of a boost to still make your grinding effective without your skills
Is a comparison of the two weapon types. It’s the same story for almost every enemy I run into. The spear is even a stronger weapon (almost 10 more damage than the sword). It’s not even worth using spears.
I’m the complete opposite, Peltasta around Lv65~ on KR and I’m running into so many stab vulnerable enemies, some slash and no blunt! You can always go back and grind weaker enemies for a little while, level some attributes, then progress forward past these enemies.
KR isn’t a valid example. People who’ve played both have said enemy resistances are different in iCBT.
It could be a bug, because on KR enemies in tenet chapel are all weak to stab, but in iCBT only 2 are.
Just tested, here are the mobs on KR:
B1
Yognome - Weak to Hit (Strong to Slash)
Rodelin - Weak to Hit (Strong to Slash)
Desmodus - Weak to Stab (Strong to Hit)
Glizardon - Weak to Stab (Strong to Hit)
F1
Galok - Weak to Stab (Strong to Hit)
Corylus - Weak to Hit (Strong to Slash)
Pond - Weak to Stab (Strong to Hit)
Pawndel - Weak to Stab (Strong to Hit)
Can you test if its the same? If it is, I think F1 best place for you to level, and then next place would be Lv58 area called ‘Gate Route’.
Where you are now is definitely not optimal, but some weak to stab monsters in the next few maps before Gate Route. What I meant in my original post it gets better again.
Do archer’s ever get access to another weapon type? It doesn’t really make sense for bows to do anything but stab, but that seems like a pretty big class disadvantage.
Although it’s a bit more difficult, and areas are probably not in their final positions, change your zone. They’ve stated there will be 3 different zones for each level range, and if you go either one zone ahead or back, you can usually find something that works better for your damage type. You’re not forced to do the quests in a certain zone, or stay past the point of completion.
They can get access to Hit type skills if they choose, but not Slash. I think guns inflict Hit, not Stab. Daggers seem to still inflict Stab instead of Slash, maybe they could change that.
Not even sure I like the whole resistance system at all. I guess it could be better if everyone was able to use two sets of weapons right from the beginning but the game’s current itemization simply doesn’t allow that.
You are completely wrong. There are 4 monster types on floor 1. 3 of them are weak to stabbing and they are the vast majority of the populace.
You clearly have no idea how to search for enemies weak to your damage type. That’s your problem, not the games problem.
