This game is in open beta, please understand dont quit

Man these white knights kissing IMC. Look what they did in kTos people who says this game still strong in korea doenst play kTos or have no idea how much koreans love mmorpg, game is empty there. It started just like iTos full of players and hope, now they all left. as someone who plays kTos they been vey unfair with your guys. Everything would be at least better if iTos had all kTos changes and the changes happened together there is no reason to have different patch between the two version. Imagine someone loves tos then move from korea to USA then he has to play and adapt to a whole different version thats just funny.

Even though it isnt open beta, i still have faith IMC can turn things around and i hope they do. It doesnt really matter what its called like was mentioned earlier, but calling it something its not isnt right…

I dont even care about getting all the features from ktos. I just want stable servers, smooth gameplay and no bots. After that we can get the other stuff.

Thats all im saying. I hope it gets better as well. I just just dont like people calling it something its not to try and make an excuse for its flaws.

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

The difference is public expectations that comes with certain labels. When they called it a full release some bugs are to be expected but not major game affecting bugs that have been previously reported in beta and ignored. This stuff matters for a newly released game.

For example if they had called The early founders access the last closed beta but you get to keep characters . Then said we are going into a period of open beta then release. People would expect a certain amount of server issues, bugs and other problems that come along with that. But they chose not to do that and people are rightly disappointed in the issues we are having now.

Painting Stripes On A Horse Doesn’t Make It A Zebra

lol At this point are you even trying anymore? You were proven wrong and cant make a legitimate response so all you can post are pointless sayings.

MMO’s are never content comelete; therefore, they can slap the “beta” tag indefinitely and use it as an excuse for the perpetual poor state of the game. Being in beta doesn’t excuse anything. I think IMC has to pull the game off of steam, fix all the problems with the new funding, and re-release

ToS officially launched in March with exclusive access. I know ordinarily OBT phase is after CBT but it isn’t mandatory in the least. The game was officially launched there are no more betas. People have been asking to be patient with IMC since iCBT2 and then for whatever reason whether they wanted to or not released the game is such a half done state.

So they helped only YOU

And thats why you defend them so much

My item is still stuck in the wrong character

I mean, if it was an open beta test it would be called an open beta test. I think it’s fair to say it’s suppose to be just coming out of “early access”, which means:

Early access, alphafunding, or paid-alpha is a funding model in the video game industry by which consumers can pay for a game in the early stages of development and obtain access to playable but unfinished versions of the game, while the developer is able to use those funds to continue work on the game.

It was never ready to go F2P, as the ground work is obviously not finished. It should have been an open beta test maybe, or they should have kept it early access for as long as necessary. However shoulda, woulda, coulda isn’t gonna help here. They went F2P so anyone who joined after that fact was lead to believe the foundation of the game (server stability, optimization, class bugs, etc.) were worked out.

For people to believe this game is open beta goes literally against the purpose of them having “early access” head start founders. You can’t even defend that they just dun goofed so hard at this point. Because you’re basically saying that they’ve wasted 2 months of people’s time for $10-$120 over them basically not knowing how to code or open a paypal cash shop…and get proper servers.

At that point you’d have to admit if you were a fair company you’d refund, compensate, or do something for the people you basically just screwed. It’s not going to happen because they took the money and ran with it already after being in the red from kTOS I’m sure. It was without a doubt a cash grab attempt that they got called out on and thankfully maybe hopefully going to do something right now.

My only demand is that the company needs to communicate and show its care to the community.

I paid $50 for this crappy game and still playing it now after all the trouble. Don’t talk to me about expectation.

And how do you know that? They never said anything (except the latest post from hkkim)

1 reply after 2 months of players complaining and raging. I hardly think they are trying.

Dude, the game should already be WAY beyond “trying to work”, ESPECIALLY when you pop a “open beta” flag out for everyone who didn’t buy in early to see so that they come flooding into the park gates…

BTW :
Open Beta = Last stage of Beta that seeks making the game playable for a large mass of players
IT’S NOT EVEN READY FOR A MILD LEVEL OF PLAYERS. Just shut up, you don’t know what you’re talking about. The damn servers couldn’t hold the mid-range BR population on the own damn server, and when they were on Orsha and Klai those servers were almost ready to fall apart as well.
And don’t get me started on the frame rate issues due to piss poor client optimization that literally half the community has has been telling IMC about since CLOSED beta, and would have known about since INTERNAL ALPHA. DUNCE.

They mussed up the development, they mussed. Everyone outside of the sheep can already see that.

There’s a news/announcement section. Check how frequently it is updated. Also check to see when is the last time it said something along the line “we heard you community”

I’m not implying my opinion is superior. It is you who tell me to have no expectations, and that simply cannot happen.

I keep seeing open beta but with the recent announcement wouldn’t it be better say we are reverting back to a closed beta. I mean after all IMC is telling Steam to block all new players.
