This build is viable? A2>QS3>SR1>Cannon

Now my character is rank 5… I wanna plan for rank 6-7

I would like to be SR cause I wanna riding companion but not sure SR2 is worth? someone said “WildShot” is same as “MultiShot lv10” so, the best skill is only “RetreatShot”… that make me hesitate to be SR2, // if i choose SR2 that mean my weapon will lock with bow&Gun only.

then, If I go for Cannoneer? …AOE high brust, maybe good with QS when fighting with many mobs but cannoneer skill isn’t match while riding companion. I don’t know when I use cannoneer skill I will off from riding companion or skill not working.

this build is quite unique build, not sure it will be viable or not
with my archer, I just plan for farming item and PVE (doing quest / not pvp)
my stat is high STR & DEX // CON(until Hp around 10K+)

you’re going to want to commit suicide from having to dismount and weapon swap all the time.

If you don’t mind the hassle then anything is viable.

But seriously though, just get a Falconer instead.

Let’s clear some things out of the way:

  1. Your weapon won’t be only xbow&gun, it should be xbow+gun and a 2h bow you use on flying mobs. This option becomes a huge hassle when you go cannon because you have to juggle between 3 weapons.
  2. Retreat Shot 10 is probably a stronger aoe skill than cannoner skills, and it also gets doubled by a Wizard’s Lethargy Debuff
  3. SR3 will only be even more ridiculous when R8 comes out.
  4. You have to dismount to use cannoner skills
  5. If you just plan on farming then just go SR2. You get to be mobile forever instead of having to constantly get on and off your mount.

for Rank6 I will be SR for sure. but I try to think about R7, if i don’t go to SR2, other class will going well with SR or not.

There’s no point going SR1 if you don’t plan on going SR2. Besides we already have a little knowledge about Archers Rank 8 which will be a mounting class. Let’s just see if SR might or not benefit from it, otherwise let’s just hope SR3 is going to be good.

I never thought about use 2hBow before, recently I rely on RunningShot only (GrandCross+arde)

Sorry no offense to you but it still bugging me and I dont know why. @_@.
I like to read forum for my knowledge about the game and there is something I don’t understand after most what I read in this archer section is about you suggesting ppl to take falcon…falcon…falcon.I know u’re falcon freak but please stop that.

So it’s safe to assume that most of the topics you were reading is about AoE builds. Now name me reasons why shouldn’t I suggest Falconer, a class that lets you maximize any AoE skills in the game. I would really love to discuss with you because you seem to be an intellectual person with the way you assess me. :smirk:

Unfortunately like Cannon and Musket, using Falconer skills will require you to dismount first which is really a PITA as those few seconds becomes critical when in tight situations.

It’s either you go SR2 or don’t pick SR at all.

So is it more advisable to go SR2 after QS3 now? Because we finally get a new class that will jive well with SR as I’m assuming all Hackapell skills will work while mounted?
