There cannot and should not be a discrepancy between KTOS and ITOS class balancing

This post is essentially a growing concern that ITOS intends to balance off of their own predetermined PVE or PVP meta. Obviously metas can differ from country to country in competitive games but I think it’s fair to say that a grand majority of changes KTOS is making is to make certain lacking classes more viable and are generally positive tweaks.

ITOS released with class balancing that KTOS hadn’t implemented before the servers went live, such as the cooldown on Skyliner.

This creates concern for me, because it is my opinion that they are implementing lots of great changes even as of recently for classes like Rodelero or Barbarian, that we’ve no indication that we’re to getting the same balance changes. Ideally we should be getting the same balance changes almost simultaneously.

Is there any plans to make sure the changes that KTOS devs implement in their version are applied to our version in a somewhat timely manner?

Please tag the staff. I would love to get them involved in this.

If i had to call nerfs on one thing it’d be fletcher, their skills do far to much damage for most of them having 0s cooldowns. With the highest cd being 10s iirc.

Magic arrow has a longer cooldown than that. While there is no cooldown, SP limits how wild Fletchers can go.

Skyliner was nerfed, it’s not something they didn’t implement for kTOS. They nerfed some of the best skills: Skyliner, Cyclone and Steady Aim (off the top of my head)

In kTOS Skyliner was buffed a while ago. IMC decided the buff was too strong and changed it for iTOS. A better question is why they didn’t change it in kTOS… Nexon? Angry gamers that see their build being nerfed a lot? In truth, Skyliner, Cyclone and Steady Aim were way too powerful and they did deserve a nerf.

As for the new balance changes in kTOS, they haven’t implemented anything yet. That includes costumes/dyes. My guess is that they are too busy fixing all the problems in iTOS and they’ll implements them all at once later.

The discrepancy between the two versions bothers me as well. I don’t know who handles these nerfs/buffs for iTOS (IMC or the developers if someone can enlighten me that would be nice). I feel like as far as skill changes (buffs and nerfs), the two versions should remain the same.

This may just be me being salty because I can’t stand the fact that Rangers have a 10 second buff with a cooldown over twice it’s duration, while it remains untouched in KTOS. However, looking into the future it’s really unnerving to not know if we will receive additional buffs that KTOS has received…

I haven’t been keeping that close an eye on KToS, is this different than the general problem stuff ported from Asia has where our version is some number of patches behind?

seriously not one here talks about sorcerer? XD

Uh, those are the same people

Nope. We received class changes that KTOS has never yet had.

lmaooo omg. I always thought iTOS was handed off to another company because we received different changes :joy::disappointed_relieved::triumph:

Are there any plans to make sure the changes that KTOS implement are also applied to the iTOS version?
Because it seems to me that the player base dose not want our versions to be terribly different in that regard.

Especially recently with some skills in the mage circles having their entire functionality changed in kTOS making them work differently in the 2 versions.

Or things like Barbarian’s Cleave skill now also giving +50% to slash skills in addition to its +50 Crit rate, kTOS. But still only the +50 Crit rate in iTOS.

As well as iTOS having the base dmg of Highlander’s Skyliner in its post-nerf form, and then having the skill nerfed AGAIN to 3 charges.
Essentially giving iTOS 2 nerfs on Skyliner while it remains untouched in kTOS.

Hmm interesting o.o i would like to know at least an answer from the staff.

They are, but i guess people are mislead here in thinking that our staff is in anyway part of the development of the game. We may not have a 3rd party publisher company like Nexon, but we are dealing with a staff that has to “relay” everything to the “dev team”.

Yes, some clarification on plans regarding this topic would probably be greatly appreciated by the dedicated players.

If those changes happened in a big patch including anything with dialogue, I imagine it has to be translated before we get it.

It isn’t translation delay, apparently. We have changes KToS has never had, and KToS has changes that haven’t moved to IToS.

Well that’s exciting.

Starting to get confused as well.

I expected the changes we got to be implemented on kTOS the next patch, but nope, they’ve had other changes already… dafuqs going on?

Not sure I’m too keen about the two versions possibly having differences like that.

exactly, this could possibly actually ruin the game…
and not one of those “you didnt give me what i want, so the game is ruined” type things…
Like literally some skills in kTOS have entirely different uses now, and are getting even more buffed, while we are sitting on double nerfed skills, this makes end game content for highlanders right now incredibly hard!
To the point where i had to re-roll my highlander into a barbarian because Highlander dose not have the tools to progress the end game like it does in kTOS.

Highlander’s strength is supposed to be in killing bosses and dealing decently strong single target dps, and in our version a c3 Highlander cant even do that effectively vs anything over lvl 110…
Because you hav 15 sec of down time on your main source of dmg after you’ve used it 3 times…

Meanwhile in kTOS:

Theres CLEARLY a difference in dmg capabilities, vs 0 CD and 15 seconds of CD
AND WE STILL HAVE THE NERFED DMG VERSION WITH AN OVERHEAT!
