@haukinyau i actually started playing tos when the obt started. My first character was really a Swordie because I saw the Shinobi class >_<.

as a corsair 3, I usually did more dmg per round on arena with Pistol Shot then Hexen Dropper BEFORE last updateā¦ and now that I have 2 overheat on it AND itās damage is buffed (551 -> 903, 5 hits)ā¦ something to think about 
Hope they donāt nerf hook tho, that wouldāve been a disaster even with all the pistol shots in the world

itās not the damage that matters but the fact that you can actually hit ppl from distance. this PvP is about range. Corsair is the longest-range swordie, simple as that.
And I do consider shinobi for c8, yeah.

havent yet pvped after maint, working hours eat away all TBL opportunities apart from 2 am and 5 am (at 5 am there is also impossible to find 5v5 and 2v2 is for pussies).

Pistol Shot is pretty average damage, really ā ā ā ā ā ā ā weak for a C3 Rank 7 skill actually (seriously, compare that shit to Divine Machine Arrow), but as a Swordsman itās basically your only reliable damage skill in the entire tree since everything else is melee.
its damage is not that bad, but overall I do agree with you. itās not about damage.
oh, and itās boosted by Spear Lunge.
