Theory Crafting + Build Compendium

I would highly suggest revising a few things about that DPS Schwarze, Vendetta’s mechanics leave it very lackluster, while I would suggest Rogue here over Fletcher (I highly doubt Fletcher will allow your crafted arrows to work for pistols), I would not suggest Ranger 3, furthermore when it comes to Ranger…

  • Critical Shot - Requires a 2H bow, once your ranger/bow phase is done, you need to level this down, even while you’re a ranger it’s probably not the best bet given you’ll have lots of crit from Archer’s Swift Step Attribute
  • High Anchoring - I’d dump here, but I would not priority max this, it seems strong, butt hey have to be roughly lined up. Unless you are with a psycho who has magnetic pole (who would prefer a Monk’s Sunray hands over you later on), you won’t get a chance to let this shine
  • Barrage - I’m fairly sure this is only usable with a bow/2h bow/bow and shield however the skill simulator doesn’t state so at the moment.
  • Steady Aim - This should be the only Ranger skill that will work as a Schwarze without having to switch weapon
Maxing Steady Aim should be your goal for going Ranger IMO if you want it for later on, the main reason would be getting a lot more damage in when you have a high AS already.

There’s a video of Schwarze being leveled to max level that uses Archer->Ranger->Sapper C2->Fletcher->Schwarze , I believe this video shows how with a Schwarze Sapper is basically all but the golden goblet, if you’re going to be forced to get off your mount for damage, you want it to be damage that sustains itself, given the damage the Sapper’s broom trap/ collar bomb does, I’d find it hard to go for Ranger instead (All of Ranger’s C2/C3 skills are bow only, and the only reason I can see for going Spiral Arrow is to get a class that has a very strong 2H bow skill hit later and using spiral arrow on it)

If you do decide to not go Schwarze later, but want to go bow (since the build is basically all bows until R6), I would suggest considering Oblique Shot’s usefulness over Steady Aim/Barrage (Great for leveling, a waste later if you’re not bows almost).

I’d consider playing around with the Sapper tree, Claymore’s will be pricey at first so won’t be used often, Stake Stockade doesn’t have a cost so that’s useful. Punji Stake is big damage for bosses but there’s a possibility getting the wood is hard. Detonate Mines is good but you need the traps there to detonate. Broom/Collar are basically must max for later on.

Assuming we’ll still be able to respec skills for almost free, I would probably take points out of Kneeling Shot ASAP. Rogue’s Capture should be usable while riding but would need to be tested, the rest of their skills can all work while using pistol so they should be the best of the R5 you can choose.

Schwarze skills I would mess around with based on attributes that we see.

There’s also the possibility of going Hunter, but that will depend entirely on if you can use half the commands while riding, if it gives you a second companion (one to ride one to command), etc.

Alright, I’ve got a few too many ideas, so I will make a post here instead of individual topics for them. I will also only pick my favorite ones and/or ones which I have seen some gameplay of.

Cleric:
The EXP Generator - This is a Cleric based support class combination that sacrifices some of the other available buffs in other classes in order to get higher levels of Divine Might. What this allows is for all of the skills to get boosted to insane levels with a rather small investment. The highlight, and name of the build, comes from how Divine Might comboes with Call of Deities, boosting its level up and summoning a massive mob on a 1 minute cooldown as seen here.

Optional:

  • Rank 4 and 5 are not really set in stone, as those don’t add to our combo. The nice thing about Sadhu is that it gives us a good way to kill mobs by ourselves if necessary, as seen here. The auto attack from the Sadhu Out of Body skill, for those who do not know, is based on int.

  • The interesting thing here is when it comes to picking defense and stat splits. We will obviously want a considerable amount of int, as that is the main attribute for most of our spells. The defensive choices are then con and dex. You may go for a straight up con (hp) sort of survivability, but Sadhu has a nice attribute that gives up to 50% evasion when using Out of Body, meaning we could invest in dex and use leather armor for defense. Another nice thing about this is that if a monster misses you while you are Out of Body you obviously will not get your skill cancelled.

Swordsman:
The Repair Tank - This skill is mainly a tank/support build. Squire provides us some nice group buffs on camp and food as well as their repairs. Peltasta is the core of our build, and the skills/attributes for this class are what influence most of our choices. We forgo Hung Ho in order to be able to use High Guard. The main reason for this is because with an attribute we can boost the damage of our Umbo and Rim Blows by 350%(!) while using high guard. Whether the most optimal is maxing this skill or having a single level for the attribute I am yet unsure of. Swash buckling is left at a lower level because chances are you will not find a mob big enough within the range of the skill to fully benefit from having it on level 15.

The Pounce Barb - You may have seen a lot of similar builds around which usually get Swordsman C2 or Highlander instead of a level in Peltasta. The reason we pick this is mainly because of Swash Buckling. This skill allows us to easily gather a decent amount of mobs to abuse our warcry. You can see very brief gameplay of a similar build here. You can also have a small glimpse at some PvP with a Pounce Barbarian build that is instead based on Highlander and two-handed swords in this video. The main downside here is that we give up some nice DPS and Overkill potential that we could have gotten from taking Highlander over Peltasta.

Optional:

  • You may notice there are 10 unspent points in the Barbarian tree. Those will go towards your choice of Giant Swing, Stomping Kick, Savagery, or maxing out Aggressor.

  • Shaving a few points from Thrust and/or Bash will allow you to grab Concentrate as well, for another small buff. One point splash in Pain Barrier is also a very good option.

was this a recent change? I remember Steparu having more than one statue at a time.

That’s old, you can have like 2-3 statues before they start despawning.

Holy ■■■■ I just saw the date of the thread… too many windows of diff threads open… sorry for necro…

Idea for a dual wield focused Corsair. The Peltasta is souly for the provoke. Pull them all together, dual wield smash them down! Some fun skills added in there. Swordy c3 for the buffs to atk damage.

This threads a little old, and tosbase.com has a public builds are you can use. :sunny:

Can anyone make a guide for Wugushi?what stat and ratio and what skills to level up?Thank You!
