Will Hexing splash or just one target cursing?
I believe there is an attribute that allows Hexing to splash.
It’s still to early to really plan builds, since we don’t know anything about the numbers attacks and beneficial effects will have and how much additional points will increase their effects. Hence no clue if it’s best to specialize or take a broader skillset. Best we can do is put some basic ideas in the open.
I’m rather fond of the idea of a wizard specialising in massive AoE spells that have a long casttime for solo play.
Something like that: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/8506tr4ryx/
Probably fun for AoE farming and mass scale PvP, although weak against single target bosses I guess.
For group play with friends a Dievdirbys or some other buff heavy class.
I don’t think anyone thinks this post is something serious at this stage, but at least we can have fun theorizing xDD
This build is good, obviously more towards group play
. But u should probably invest more in Reflect Shield, it’s your main survival skill and u dont wanna get wrecked while trying to cast those skills with long cast time
Well the description sounded as if it would only reflect a single attack so I didn’t know how useful it was.
If it can take several hits, then of course it would be rather useful.
Edit:
This one might be interesting with another friend who relies on physical attacks:
Can you use the repain and maintenance skills on yourself?
Does anyone know where to find this info? Ive been reading Separu but cant find any mention.
(Regarding magic attacks needing dex to hit)
Any beta testers experience this?
Sorry for the delay! Was out celebrating July 4th here in the USA.
OP was updated, and a new daily build was selected.
Looking forward to seeing some more amazing theory crafting!
I’ve played both Wizard and Cleric in CBT2 and nothing ever missed for me, but nothing ever landed a critical hit either. Both characters never invested a point in DEX.
Hopefully, we’ll see some changes in the next beta test because STR and INT were really the only stats you needed to invest in.
Yes they should give Spirit some bonuses because nobody spend points on it…
I had a Cryomancer with lots of SPR! Worst decision ever xD
I guess we need more data from next CBT, i hope you dont need dex u_u…
I like the Nuke Falconer @Sharp!
My personal thoughts for a build on my archer right now are Trap Falconer & Trap Gunner, though it’s me daydreaming on builds so far. I’m definitely not as versed with the mechanics like everyone else here is, so any critiques on them are definitely welcome.
Trap gunner link seems to be broken (at least for me) and if it’s schwarze reiter and sapper, I’d think getting on and off your mount to set traps and use the gunner skills would be tiring.
Thanks for the heads up @Garrnett, I just fixed the link. And good point about the dismounting–hadn’t considered that to be honest.
Been so busy with all the new stuff I forgot to keep this more up to date!
Build of the day was changed, it’ll be build of the week now, and may change back after CBT 3
Hoplite-Corsair, equip with Spear + Dagger = almost Crit assasin with Finestra and Subweapon cancel.
Bokor-Oracle Build
Cleric 2 -> Bokor 3 -> Oracle
I havn’t decided on exactly which skills to get, but the primary skills will be:
Cleric:
Deprotection Zone
Safety Zone
Divine Might
Bokor:
Zombify
Damballa
The basic idea is to get massive amounts of zombies around a boss (or group of players in GvG if I can somehow manage to pull that off without the zombies dieing first - they seem really weak) and use Damballa.
Use Deprotection Zone on the boss and Divine Might on yourself before using Damballa to give more damage (if it turns out DM can give you more than max level of a skill). Safety Zone on yourself so you don’t die.
Combined with an Oracle because profit.
I am basing this build off of these 2 videos:
Damballa doing some serious damage (it has 487 attack power):
http://www.tosbase.com/content/video/skills/Bokor_Damballa.mp4
If each one of the zombies in the last 10secs of this video exploded, it would do some substantial damage to the boss’ health
The two downsides of this build are that it requires zombies, and that zombies are way too slow and die way too fast (in the video above half of them get slaughtered in a single hit from the boss). But I figure I will play around with it anyways in Beta to determine if the build is feasible or not.
here for a better inspiration
AFK grinding
I really hope there is some mechanism in place to prevent that kind of AFK farming
