The truth (%) behind "The Cube of the Blessed Goddess"

Since IMC (iTos) is not honest with its players and uses holes in the communication to “cheat” their clients, with superficial and wrong values and percentages, I bring to you the true PERCENTAGE (%) behind the “The Cube of the Blessed Goddess”.

Here in the West, for lack of strong legislation (other than Korea) IMC is not required to by the actual percentage of items that come in their looting boxes, something that in the East is determined by law, the official website has a link almost hidden with this information, where they make available the actual percentage of each item.

In this current maintenance (kTos) was added the Giltine wings and for being an exclussive item we can have its percentage as base for the items here considered “exclusive”.

In iTos communications they put, for example, a little bit in Rank A and a percentage of 10%, which for many seems something “big”, but in fact that percentage is the total of RANK, that is, each item in that rank has a percentage that summed gives the total of 10% of RANK A.

image and link of the percentages below:

The question for IMC staff is:

When you stop treating us, clients, just like wallets …

Note: It gives yes for the BMI to put items in the TP store, we had this with the Pets, lenses, hair and some colorations.

It will be hard to be more honest and fair, people will not stop buying gas if you start to be less EA Games of life. One hour people will tire and will wake up to the reality that their money is not valued.

And for the fans boys, they are more than phrases like:

“Just do not buy …”

And yes I used google translator, “bejas”.

when you translate IMC from portuguese to english, google interpret it as “índice de massa corporal”. then you have BMI “body mass index” pretty funny imo

Well they used to sell them for a flat price, but they saw the potential in selling RNG cubes midway through. Even the old costumes that used to cost 59 TP cost almost 300 medals for exchange now.

And since its still going on, it means that people are still paying for it, which is the ultimate goal of any company :tired:

I woulda been fine with this if they just removed Leticia cubes and maybe tokens (basically anything that would keep it away from the “P2W radar” of most people)

“Kawaii-Weeb” Art is the biggest appeal of this game imo, and they should’ve monetized that alone completely.

Let’s say a doctor told you “the expensive operation has a 10% chance to let you live longer” but he doesn’t mention there’s only a 0,1% chance you will heal completely.

How many players do you think would like to open cubes if the Item they’re looking for has a chance of 0,1%?
Obviously less than those who open cubes because their item is in the 10% section.
10% seems ok, it’s affordable after all.

let’s spend 22€ for 11 blessed cubes/300 TP (or directly 68€ for 33 cubes/900 TP)

at the same time in Ktos with 198 TP
1 Golden Dog Warrior Costume (M or F)
1 Goldenm Dog Warrior Helmet Costume
2 Lucky Golden Dog Pouch

why caring about IToS player satisfaction and opinion, when gambling is more profitable?

decent like the gacha in elder scrolls online?
or the one in overwatch?
or the one in…every single game?

Don´t forget Grand Fantasia, Edn Eternal (pretty much any X-Legend game)… P2W at it finest…

What is this post even trying to imply

  • This post will not stop anyone from buying the cube
  • This is just another info-post that serve no purposes
  • Whale is going to be whale

Why not just let the game die already? All these effort, dedication, and motivation posts are just putting ToS images even worst than i ever had to remember. I want to remember all the funzy and joy that i had with TOS… NOT some classic community posts in attempt to rebuild the game.

Again, TOS died a long time ago… please… just let it go. Thanks.

PS: Great post though to be honest @kamaroo

i have this weird pattern everytime i gacha though. like when i buy them using the daily 5tp. i always end up with krudnik. now when i open them without. i got costumes O___o

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Tree of Savior. The p2w is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of advanced korean most of the patches will go over a typical player’s head. There’s also Kim’s greedy outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal Ferrarri draws heavily from iToS gacha cubes, for instance. The whales understand this stuff; they have the wallet capacity to truly appreciate the chances of these cubes, to realise that they’re not just RNG- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Tree of Savior truly ARE poor- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the money in Kim’s catchphrase “Innovate Motivate Connect,” which itself is a cryptic reference to nothing. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Kims’s genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools… how I pity them. :joy:

And yes, by the way, i DO have a LunarRabbit tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 TP of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid :sunglasses::

though i can’t remember. were costumes 59 tp back then? i remember buying the same tp bundle (for items to be medal exchanged) just to get me 1 costume back then

isn’t “almost 300tp” a little bit exaggerated? ‘w’;;;

I just wanted to say that this posting is for more people to actually know the REAL percentage of what they are buying …

Well since IMC is not honest, at least I as a player, knowing the information, I try to be.

good game :satisfaction:

i’m a bit confused on what you are trying to say though ‘w’;;

can you like, show me the equation ?

I think most people can do the math already.

Think IMC as a casino, in real life those big casino in vegas never go bankrupt and is a good way to gather money and IMC doing it exactly the same in legal way.

I think KTos sell items in TP because their whale playerbase is very limited in korea which is a small country, compare it to the world.

As long as these worldwide whales still buying gachas, even if all freemium and average players leave, the game will keep selling gachas.

i meant im not most people. and i had a hard time understanding the sentences op made

I’m not sure in TOS, but I think the biggest whales in games are (usually) Korean. There is a game called ‘Game of Dice’ for mobile. The top players are ALWAYS koreans who bought tons of $99 dollars dices, $200 dollars characters and so on. And it happens in other p2winish (I just made this word up… ) korean games too, like Fantasy War Tactics R or Atlantica.

i’m a bit confused where OP get the 10% based on the chart he provided

is the chart and the 10% unrelated factors of different equations?

i mean, if i understood it correctly.

the rank A probability in the chart he provided is actually 14% instead of 10%

was op expecting 14% probability for each rank A items? giving a probability of 14% x7(item) = 98% chance to get rank A items upon opening 1 cube?

if that was the case. won’t we get a lower chance of getting rank A ?since there is a 44.9% x 8(item) = 359.2 % (that’s almost 3.6x the absolute we’re only getting items in rank C) that we get a rank C item everytime we open a cube.

He’s basically comparing our combined rates (hence the 10% in rank A) https://treeofsavior.com/page/news/view.php?n=1251 vs ktos’ individual rates http://iteminfo.nexon.com/probability/games/tos

It’s just really confusing since it’s directly copy-pasted from google translate without any proofreading.

And no, he wasn’t expecting a 10% for each rank A item. He’s just saying that some people might lean on that probability since the individual rates aren’t shown to us.

it’s abit misleading when he used this statement for emphasis

“In iTos communications they put, for example, a little bit in Rank A and a percentage of 10%, which for many seems something “big”, but in fact that percentage is the total of RANK, that is, each item in that rank has a percentage that summed gives the total of 10% of RANK A.”

instead of just bluntly saying what you just said

that items on a specific rank has varied probabilities instead of evenly distributed
