It probably sounded better in his native language but just got butchered by google translate.
as said earlier,
whales gonna be whales. they dont give a jack ■■■■ about money bcz its overflowing.
They want gachas bcz they cn endlessly spend on RNG to make them feel good.
kyan i habbe de chikun nuggurs? ‘w’
teso is one of the most played mmo’s the world… you are living in another dimension. Also you are praising damned BDO, are you serious or trolling.
though i kind of figured that out when the market sells a whole lot of gold dog warrior helmets while the rest are being sold half or less the quantity compared to it
or why there’s a pattern on premium items in the market list that’s in greater quantities than the other
regardless though, if OP was indeed pointing out that each rank has items with varied probabilities. wouldnt that be better? since it only mean that some items in higher ranks has a greater chance to be obtained, resulting that one has a greater chance in acquiring a high rank item?
for example
scenario A) 10% from 5 items if evenly distributed means each item has 2% probability
scenario B) 10% from 5 items one item has 6% while the four only has 1%
scenario B makes it so that someone has a higher chance of getting a high rank item as compared to scenario A when pitted against the probabilities of other ranks
still better than a UFO catcher or a slot machine though, where the chances of winning are rigged
I just want new wiz reset event…
Cleric, sword and archer rework…
and some suggestions to be implemented…
IMC… you can milk the whalles as much as you please… but… first… give us the game content.
Noooo you posted the outdated version
TESO has 6k+ people playing right now.
But it doesn’t have a gacha-only system.
Maybe overwatch does but Overwatch is popular so they can afford doing this and as far as I know it’s 100% cosmetics only.
All games have dumb gacha-only shops? Absolutely not.
Path of Exile has “loot boxes” too but it’s nothing like in tos. Everything can be bought directly form the cash shop and it’s 99.9% cosmetics. They also list the chance % for each item.
Each box grants you one random microtransaction themed as either Fire or Ice, with value equal to at least that of the box (30 points). The possible outcomes from your mystery box range in value from 30 points all the way up to 320 points! The average reward is worth 110 points, which is more than three times cost of the box.
I know. I’m not saying the game isn’t popular, it’s the opposite actually. 6k players on steam alone seems fairly alive to me.
But what you said about gacha makes no sense.
Most successful mmo’s and online games are actually using loot crates as the only way of getting stuff since they’ve seen it works.
Even if this was true it’ll still be a bad example because successful games can afford doing this since they are successful.
I don’t get how your game experience could be changed by the fact that we have gacha like all the other games.
There are successful games doing it and unsuccessful games doing it. It’s just the current business model and it works, even if it’s unethical.
I’m just tired of people lying to push their agenda on the forum and flagging me for telling them they live in a good country when they say i can’t run fkin black desert.
You are the one giving bad boy points to others, bundle of british cigarettes.
All your comments and posts are useless rants and cries side-dished with lies to legitimize your slacking attitude and factually flawed opinions.

Also, BDO has cash shop loot boxes too.

Stop embarassing yourself

break it off you guys, and stay on topic.
I would much prefer items be direct to buy,and I’m not defending IMC in any way concerning this, but:
Never. This isn’t even just pertaining to IMC. Any game intends to draw the line between customer satisfaction and profit as close as possible. Profit is always the underlying motive, it’s dumb to think otherwise. So these kind of practices stopped surprising me years ago.
If they can get away with not being upfront about that, of course they’ll try. They want your money, but know they have to make it as appealing as possible. A few states trying to adopt Japanese/Korean gacha legislation won’t mean much of anything when something like that would need to be approved as a majority to actually be implemented in the US. Even then, you can bet they’ll be trying to find loopholes.
Buying has to happen on some level for the game to make profit and stay alive, everyone boycotting will not force them to sell the way you want, it’ll make them shut down. I’ve mentioned in more than one thread witnessing this for myself.
Tokens and outfits have other ways of being bought, so that’s always an alternative. But I wouldn’t at all expect them to stop this practice.
i think what kamaroo meant about “just dont buy” is when fans would respond “if you dont like it then dont buy it”
You’re probably right, I may have misunderstood because of the translation.
gacha, like everyone has said, is too lucrative to drop. like they have no reason to stop until it’s illegal, or until people no longer feel like playing because of it and the playerbase dwindles too much for even whales to enjoy the game. It’s here until the death of the game orz
I def wish they would…allow. direct buy of stuff. It wouldn’t be as big of a deal if one of this game’s strongest points was simply cosmetics/aesthetics aha. taking the fun even out of just dressing up a character is a shame.
Thing is, if the main problem would be dressing characters, they could just spam event costume to us like they did before or put some few ones as TP shop directly without medals, or allow TP->medal at a cheaper rate.
With good costumes to pick without gacha people would still put up the same complaints over and over. It’s just natural because how gacha is |:
IMHO, what I mostly wish from IMC was to actually explore ways to make gacha cause less frustration somehow, I think that’s the main issue.
May be guaranteed drop after certain number of gacha rolls?
and resets after you get one.
Like You have guaranteed chance of getting 1 rank A stuff from pool (can be anything here) after not dropping anything from rank A from gacha for 20 rolls. 21st(random value i chose. can be something else too) roll will surely give a rank A drop.
Or something similar mechanism.
