The returning/new player event makes me not want to return

you didnt read what I said then. you picked out one example I made of focusing on one demographic and focused on that one, somewhat paradoxically. the point was people miss the forest for the trees.

if someone who has paid money and patronized your game in beta stages and beyond, making a new event where they feel like they have to throw away their spent money and time is bound to alienate them. heck any time someone is disadvantaged by not abandoning their account and continuing what they have already is a failure imo. it misses the mark on the whole concept of an MMO account to begin with.

You know what? me not having played this whole time IS my fault, sure. but was that really that big of a sin? no I don’t think so. The game had problems, I still played it plenty and invested in it. I recommended it to friends, wrote guides, and all that jazz I mentioned before. I gave the developers time, money, feedback, and a fair amount of dedication for months and months. The release version was disappointing in several ways so I couldn’t stick with it but, I shouldn’t feel like that is a hindrance to me progressing and having as much fun as everyone whos just starting now. You can say it’s still the same game but when it takes you 5 times as long to level it certainly doesnt feel like you’re playing the same game.

I mean he’s actually right though. There are plenty of threads from back in beta where you can see how it went. Heck this was part of why I lost interest after launch. From 30ish to almost 50ish you had to grind mobs exclusively. For hours on end. I think by most estimates it was somewhere around 20 hours? next spot I remember was 75-90ish where you had to grind the lantern rooms. then plants at around 100, then that fire tower place till 120ish etc etc. I consulted with the first people to ever reach max level on NA servers. It was a grind and a half.

At no point did you ever have to grind before 150, and at no point did you have to grind 10 hours for a single level. Not even in beta, where the grind wall started at demon prison, and this was only because there were literally no quests at the higher levels. There were a lot of threads back then where people were running past all of the optional quest NPCs and wondering why they weren’t leveling up enough off just main story. Luckily for you and them, quest NPCs are now flagged everywhere within your level range so they’re impossible to miss unless you’re literally blind.

Don’t worry, if anything it’s the opposite, this thread gave me a lot to laugh about.

All you payed for was for head start and some goodies.Stop acting like brat and go level your character.

If you don’t want to read complaints there’s this thing called not clicking threads with complaining titles. Thanks for bumping my post.

Your fault for choosing to stop playing the game. Now you want IMC to give you a hug?

Yes, who doesn’t like hugs?

Wow nice dodging the subject at hand. How about you respond to claim that “grind was never that bad”

I returned to the game a few weeks ago. I been having tons of fun even without a bunch of free junk.

If your entire enjoyment of a game is based on free junk they give you, then you probably never enjoyed the game in the first place.

You complain about people being toxic here, but your thread itself is toxic AF. The company made big investments with Nexon to revive the game and you rant about the money you spent more than a year ago and that you deserve much more as a returning player. Get over it, enjoy the game or get the f*ck off.

AYE AYE ARR ARRR F-F-F-FLAGGED

This thread is like :

“I helped this poor guy in the street and he bought drugs with my silvers”

Dude you’re thinking so small. Use the 8x with the triple dungeon buff and queue into a party you’ll be at 1000%+ bonus EXP with cookies. and with the dungeon multiplier you can multiply it by 3 so thats basically 3000%. So idk what you’re bitchin about. You can literally go from level 170-213 in 1 dungeon run. and if you save all your instance multipliers and use them after the box expires with instance reset scrolls ontop of it, you’ll hit 330 in like 2 hours.

I already did, scroll up instead of tunnelvisioning because you’re saltyaf. Anyway, I’m done with you. You’re very uninteresting to engage with. Just salt and strawmanning and straight up lies.

I didnt claim this, you said it yourself. Here is the evidence.

but the grind was never that bad even when the game was at its worst [/quote]

See, you’re doing it again. If you actually looked at what I was responding to, I was saying the grind was never as bad as 10 hours for 1 level. I know this from experience, leveling multiple characters to cap in closed beta. You can spend all day taking things I say out of context to try and score internet points, but if you look around at what other people are saying you can see you’re just making yourself look foolish. Nobody is buying it. Sort yourself out, bucko.

The worst part of grinding was from 140-186. You claim when game was at “worst” grinding were never hard. Even though we have lots of thread to prove that 140-186 was hell before. Even enough to make players quit because of grind wall.

see my complaint to a company about how they treat their customers isn’t toxicity. telling someone to “get the ■■■■ off” is more along those lines. people constantly insulting me for feeling like I am being treated unfairly as a paying customer is absolutely toxic. Toxic communications are defined as such: blaming, shaming, humiliation, put-downs, and name-calling. I honestly don’t understand how they let this forum go on like this…

I feel perfectly justified in making complaints about what I consider poor service. I don’t think I should get MORE than anyone else. I think everyone should get the same stuff.
