The "Pay-To-Win" Token Scandal

VM technically means you are running multi PC actually.

"in terms of actual fact, it is actually allow"
Since it’s still 1 PC to 1 Account.

The issue here is Multi Client on the other hand basically means 1 PC to more than 1 account.

technically you aren’t breaking the rules.

Honestly the issue is making profit out of the game itself which is “deem illegal” in this case cause it is IMC’s “IP”.

There is many ways to curb this issues but IMC refuse to look at it.

Honestly with virtualization and AWS Cloud. All this so easily accessible these day. Within the grasp of anyone.

Any one can start a multi “PC lan shop all in one” for your self piling up to 20-50 account 1 per PC nerco farming afk (which is not illegal in TOS here).

Obviously this come out with a “bare investment” first. Since you will really need a high processing server to run so many PC of “Highly Single processing power game”. Integrated gpu this day are amazing. Since this purpose is only for AFK farm.

With all this influx of inflation the silver economy is bound to inflate that much.

There is also 145 gives up to 1m per character of manual work etc… the silver sink imo is not efficient i would say as compare to silver gain.

Too much ways to get tons of silver, only that few ways via market tax, attributes, enhancing / enchant , cube rng rerolls.

Bots and AFK farmers farm so much but there has to be a horrible tax on player shops… yeah right IMC logic.

This is just another chapter in the Imperial Scrolls of Fail.

We wish we could trade tokens, I was gonna hold an event for newbies and give out tokens to them plus random decent stuff for level 40/50s. but then i realized that even if the token says tradeable you cant actually trade it. Sad day IMC sad day!

on a separate note any suggestions to what other kinda items i can give out to newbies that would be good?

cafrisun set would be nice honestly

Oh ■■■■ how did forget about cafrisun thanks! adding that to the list

The value of a token lies in tendem with the amount of effort one is required to farm the necessary amount of silvers to purchase. It isn’t as easy as saying ‘having a set amount of price on tokens allows new players to purchase them and have everyone live happily ever after’; the end result is that you wouldn’t have anyone selling any on the market if that’s the case.

Simply putting yourself in the shoes of others, if you are a hardcore player with multiple lv290 chars, running 290 dungeon and saaluses daily, including afking with your necro(s) every night. Why would YOU buy tokens with your hard earned money just to sell it to others for a value, for example 500k when you can make that amount easily through in game means?

The damage(inflation) is already done, either you bite the bullet and shell out rl money to get tokens or you do it like everyone else.

In any case, if you bite the bullet or cave in thinking about the amount of silvers you could amass via selling token, a win for imc. If you and your friends decide to not spend a dime, imc still wins since you guys, like everyone of us is just a +1 in their statistics. They don’t give a rats ass if we quit or not anyway.

The issue with this concept is that the token significantly enhances the ability to make silver, in several ways. To a small extent, the movement speed bonus helps you get around, hunt things, and quest more quickly. To a much larger extent, it allows you to make more money off the market place per item due to significantly less taxes, and also allows you to put 10x more items into the market place at once per character, which can be the difference between getting enough silver to buy a token in a day, and not being able to do it for weeks.

Not to mention you may find an item on an alt that would really help your main, and the token allows you to get that item over to your main without any issues. This is impossible without a token since only token users have access to team storage (which I honestly cannot see how anyone considers that fair).

If making silver wasn’t so hindered by being behind the token wall, I might agree that it’s ok; if the token only increased monster exp and movement speed, I might agree that it’s ok how it is right now. But the fact that both the Market Place AND the Team Storage are locked behind the token? It’s always been unfair, and I posted about this basically day 1.

Honestly, this is exactly how it SHOULD be. Tokens should be a benefit that you either pay for as soon as you start playing, or have played long enough to afford to not have to pay. IMC should be able to provide better TP items so that they don’t need to rely on an item that significantly enhances gameplay and game functionality. They have plenty of costume and other aesthetic items they can make money from, and that’s honestly the thing they should be focusing on for income.

better

if they bundle a 7days token with every costume purchase~

some players here want to buy 2~3 tokens per day
the value of the token is very low, it should be around 10m
u do(10m) in 3days anyway…

Correction: it’s possible to get 10mil in 3 days with certain high-leveled characters. What about beginners? What about people just arriving? If they don’t pay, it will take them significantly longer to reach a point where they can make 10mil a day because of the limitations of having no token. Are you suggesting that the token prices be set for the veteran players who already have it far easier, and disregard new players entirely who are the ones who arguably get the most out of the token benefits?

they can pay up cash for it. the era of cheap tokens is over.

We already established that paying cash is an option. We’re talking about the no-cash option, so any comments regarding the cash-option are moot.

EDIT: Just wanted to double-check that your argument here is that only veteran players or people who have already devoted a significant amount of time to the game, who can reasonably obtain millions of silver, should be able to afford a token. Which usually means new players likely can’t hope to get a token for several weeks/months of casual play, or maybe a full week of really hardcore no-lifing. Maybe even longer, depending on inflation of token prices. Is that the jist of it?

just tell new players to roll scout 3, they will have tokens in no time

In which case, the fundamental differences between the two viewpoints is: people who believe tokens should be more easily non-cash accessible for new players, and people who do not believe new players deserve access to token benefits without paying cash or playing for a significant amount of time.

If you took away the Team Storage and Market Place limitations, I would actually agree with you guys. But because those two aspects of the game are locked behind Token benefits, I honestly think everyone should be more easily able to access the Token without paying Cash.

And who will pay for Mr Kim’s new yacht if you have such core mechanics open without cash?

belief has always been subjective

and reality shows token price will raise even higher.

just saying.

TOS is already going full speed p2w with RNG Costume Cube and selling Stat Reset… Also the incoming Class Reset.

i already quit caring for TOS back in OCT.

Now, i just play all the classes, stop leveling at lv240…
after i done my little project, byebye TOS

why the non-paid should have the same advantages as those who pay?
deal with it

I’d rather spend my tp with gacha than help the lazys

That statement is awfully ambigiuous…
You can quit TOS but never quit TOF!
