The many flaws of TOS and how to fix some of them

yeah, you turn on auto join, and the other turn on auto invite then you both match, otherwise its just like the normal invite way

this way explained to me on reddit, the collection rewards are stacked accross your account and journal rewards are a once off exp card reward so they obviously dont stack but can be done on every toon

yeah atm they are just an annoyance that gets in the way of you leveling up class exp, however some of that may change in the later levels as thee introduce the other classes

yeah their design is all over the place, some things dont match, some have no class synergy, some simply do nothing valuable at all

yeah agreed, hopefully posts like this and any worthwhile comments get looked at and considered

it would be cool if the devs were more active in getting community input for stuff like this rather then just TP price change or server issues (granted those need o be fixed aswell)

I agree with @rafael_arnaud and partially with OP.
Most of OP’s ideas are legit.

I do dislike the idea of instanced dungeons, and it removes the open world design of the game, turning it into a quest+dungeon boring routine.
I’d like to see them make dungeons with more variations, some gives good exp, some gives good items, and reduces the time spent in dungeon to 15min per run. At the same time, they should make the game focused on field grind, with bigger maps, larger spawns, higher exp reward and item reward.

I do not agree with the removing spell cooldown and pots cooldown ideas. For spells, i’d prefer there’s a way (such as stats) to lower the cooldown but never remove it. For pots, i think it’s fine as it is, and i even suggest to make sp pots heavier in weight, so people are forced the manage their mana instead of skills-pots brainless rotation.

i would say that’s a design flaw of the skills

e.g. if you make a mage in RO that only spams SG, there should be ways to fight against that, or an alternate reason to be careful when you use it

maybe jack up the mana cost significantly, so they can cast it like 5 times in a row, then they have no mana for anything else

or put a charge on it so every time you cast, the charge increases and every point of charge has a 5% chance to freeze you aswell
so you could spam it but it may backfire

there are so many options, its just crappy design that limits so many of these games, they never try anything new, that’s why i have so much respect for RO, they pulled some crazy ■■■■ like instant cast even if it was broken you remember it, what will you remember about TOS other then it was a weak clone of RO?

Yea but people who buy silver can literally never die. they just get fully inventory of pots and win at pvp

I’m working on the basis that gold farmers get dealt with, so that “shoudn’t” be an issue, especially if they make them more expensive

or how about remove pots completely and buff bonfires?

ah i see,

yea i dont thin gold sellers are going anywhere any time soon so i think a cool down on pots is ok.

but i agree with the buff on bon fires
