The Hidden Classes

Yes, it’ll need a long and difficult process. That’s exactly why there’ll be some people who won’t bother to tell others how to make it there. It’s meaningless and unfair for that person if others can just follow the walkthrough easily and access the class with less effort. If everyone can access the class and know about the class easily, it won’t be a “hidden” class anymore.

There are 80 Classes in total, with
4 being Rank 1 Classes,
72 being Rank 2-10 Classes,
which leaves exactly 4 Classes left.

So there are 4 Hidden Classes in total.
Each base class(Wizard,Archer,Swordsman,Cleric) has 1 Hidden Class.

The Hidden Classes are the (currently) highest ranked classes with Rank 11.

And if you take a look at the world map you’ll see that there is no upper limit for levels in sight. The currently highest level area being Level 576.
With Rank 6 classes you will merely reach around level ~100.

Meaning there will be more classes for the higher levels…eventually.
The highest levels in the CBT were like +250 or something.

The developer’s still not sure about the classes. I got this information from CBT2 Q&A.

Q3. How many class ranks are released in OBT?
A3. The original plan was to release 10 + 1 ranks, but we are rethinking the rank mechanic. There might be 8 ranks in total with 20 hidden classes, but nothing is definite.

I think that would be overcomplicating it.

Lets try a scenario: WHO DOESNT WANT TO BE AN ASSASSIN? or even in a guild of assassins? There are now all assassin and thief based guilds, no templar based. Everyone is dying left and right and nobody will come to defend?!

Vice versa could be some pve righteous server with all templar guilds.

I think the guild system itself needs to be a base like the base classes, then you level it up via player contribution. Have a guild message board in game, hell it could even link to an external website. Guild skills were a good idea in RO, so they could be used here. Specific class perks or class type perks to tanks or dps or healers. A GvG tab for obvious reasons along with some guild housing instance or even in the open world.

The guild system is probably one of the more important features in any mmorpg nowadays that I see completely dun goof where there is no guild building, just hey we can chat and such.

I speculated before that the hidden classes might be “cameo” classes from Ragnarok Online or Granado Espada, like Sage (RO) or the recently-found Musketeer (GE).

But this would happen if any class could enter in any guild, what I was saying is a guild where all the member would have to be an Assassin, a Thief or a Templar, since I thinking that people with the same class could group and then receive exclusive missions and traits based on their classes.

I don’t think that everyone in the server will choose the same class. But like you said, it would be pretty complicated, I just said that it would be kinda of boring that just to create a guild you need to be a Templar since there people that want to do that but could not like to play with the Templar class.

I think it wouldn’t be bad if the guild leader would work like a class but it still should be different mechanism than other classes. I have some ideas how to execute that but it should be rly considered well how it would be the best. Like it could be a universal (for all 4 basic classes) only 1 circle class that you could pick up at any rank after the first or it could be a 11th rank class that would still let you be a hidden class too or something like that. Maybe it seems a bit overcomplicated but I somewhat feel like it could have its own magic if it would work like a class.

if the said Hidden class would be like. . dual-wielding something. . dual-wielding trumpet, . dual-wielding spoon and fork , . dual-wielding racket . . .

aaahh so boring

Yeah, I agree with the idea that there should be an 11th rank for some hidden classes, of which are unlocked for any path to choose. Maybe aside from Templar there could be other non-combat classes people could choose to end their path on. Maybe that’s where bard could be placed - have a class where you can sing your tales after you’ve reached the end of your journey (out of combat, resting benefit grantor or something).

It doesn’t have to be that way, but it would be nice to have a couple universal, quality of life hidden classes that anyone could access. This would make it so Templar wasn’t the only class like this, but also making it so anyone could form a guild (but allowing those who don’t want to to have similar benefit).

I only talked about the guild leader/ templar but yeah I actually thought about this too. But there are some different possibilities in it. Like there could be a Magic Knight hidden class that you can achieve from the wizard and the swordsman tree too but not from the others.

What there are Genderlocked Hidden Class?

Where did you hear that from? :frowning:

Yeah, now my jimmies got rustled.
Want to know too :weary:

Did you mean “What IF”?
I dunno btw… if it would be like the dancer/bard in RO ( and again I can’t come up with other example lol ) it would be ok for me. We can say those 2 were almost the same class just a bit different so it was good imo otherwise I don’t like genderlock.

They said this in latest ToS 2nd CBT Review

We want hidden jobs only unlockable by a limited number of people per server , through quest rewards after meeting certain conditions.

I dont like it.

This is a very bad idea. Actually I think it could be a reason to me to don’t play this game and that makes me sad… I can’t imagine this could be good in any way.

Maybe they change it in future if people complains.

Things are changing…

Q) Up to which rank would we be able to play in the Open Beta?

A) Our original plan was to open up to Rank 10~11, but we are thinking about changing that. We are thinking about hiding 20 classes so there is a chance that the last rank could be 8, but it’s not confirmed yet

Very nice.

That way people who had a head-start in the tests will have it a bit less easy.

Actually, there are 30 hidden classes confirmed. Kim Hakyuu stated it when he visited my country weeks ago.
