The Great Rebalancing

I hope there some sort of reunion memes too? Please make a meme STR + SW haha!

Dumb, dumb new generation of gamers. On the other hand, I guess you deserve to be riped off, easier than taking a candy from a baby, and you even support it, hahaha, sorry, impossible not to laugh.

Technically I don’t think you hold the right to complain about using your money on tp to sell them to buy transcendence items even when they’re changed.

You used your money on TP items, you got what you paid for and they are not being changed here. It’s not a fraud by IMC.

IMC isn’t responsible on how you use these TP items or the silver you received from them. They also have the complete right to change in-game content as they please. It doesn’t affect what you used your money on in any way.

You have absolutely no basis to demand anything back based on those claims. Being compensated for the change is unrelated and your TP contributions aren’t relevant in regards to it.

I wanna see Akisera arguing again. Unified dex swordsmen is boring.

You paid for early access then (and so did i), not for the actual game when it got released. The released game itself is free.

They said they will release gear with crit stats. So for a high crit rate you probably will have to go with crit gear and maybe green gems.

I prefer to get ripped off by IMC than by 3rd-party that you paid for RMT’ing and is still bragging about, lol.

I think we are too early to make assumptions for the result of changes. I think smart reader will hold their emotion at neutral.

For whales who spent bless shards, look and read back the graph carefully, the stage 10 factor is not nerfed, the value % might lower but consider all factors like new introduced skill factor it became more exponential for each matk added. I suppose these peoples failed math and dont understand the formula, so just wait next week and see hows on ktest.

are we forced to use that free class, skill and stat reset eventhough we already satisfied with our current build? i read that all invested attribute will be converted back to some attribute point

Transendence will still be end-game and whales dominate.

Game not saved?

pretty much “yes”? haha

What would be good is to make various types of builds “equally” viable, depending on how the player wants to play his toon. But to do this, you must really give a lot of room for flexibility.

On that note, why not just introduce AGI as another stat instead? AGI will take care of aspd and evasion, while DEX can focus on accuracy, crit rate, and crit resistance? I mean, RO had 6 stats, I don’t see why it’s a bad thing for us to play around with one. In the end, it might make for some really colorful builds.

On the timing, I really wish they just released this together with the R9 patch. That way, we only need to deal with one big rebalancing.

That said, I’m really excited to explore how to make a Dex-Int Chaplain viable.

It looks like with the new skill calculations that focusing on a few skills instead of taking as many as you can will become more viable, assuming increasing the level of a skill increases the skill % damage. This is a good step towards allowing players to choose whether they want to heavily invest in a few, or having many skills.

Thank you for pointing this out to me. I appreciate it. : )

Fam I was a str fencer in R7. Include us :relieved:

Be happy with that. I’ll sue IMC, start legal actions, a campaign for this game to be removed from Steam, etc. I have legitimate right to do so. Don´t agree? Not my issue.

As hilariously obvious it is that your post is sarcastic (since no one could be so stupid to threaten legal action), I’d just like to take this tidbit from the Terms of Service which more or less states that your “legal action” won’t happen as you have forfeited the right to do that by agreeing to these Terms of Service.

Your access to Tree of Savior (the “GAME”) constitutes your agreement to the rules of conduct and policies specified below, as well as the End User License Agreement (“EULA”), STEAM™ Subscriber Agreement and other supplementary policies and agreements of IMC Games Co., Ltd. (the “IMC Games”) and STEAM. Failure to comply with these regulations can result in the immediate termination of your account. If you do not agree with all of the terms of this agreement, you are not permitted to use or access the GAME.

Scrolling down a bit…

IMC Games may find it necessary on occasion to make changes to the Game in order to maintain Game balance and enhance playability or performance for its players. These changes may affect or cause changes in the Game, including, but, not limited to, the characters you’ve created, the items you’ve obtained and any other contents in the Game.

tl;dr you have no “legitimate right to do so” because legally you have forfeited that right by playing the game, which implicitly means you agree to these Terms of Service.

Those are adhesion terms, don’t mean anything, according to the actual laws.

In all honestly, if you bought TP from IMC, you recieved the TP. IMC didn’t screw you over by not giving you TP It’s up to your discretion what you do with the TP (Sell token or enchant scrolls). Same goes with RMT, if you bought silver from third party, you violated the TOS and that does not protect you.

I’ve seen this happen all the time when company changes items to balance the game. For instance DIablo 3, Blizzard literally cut attack speed in half on all items including item purchase through their RMT Auction house. Does it suck, of course but once you agree to their terms, they can do whatever they want since technically they own the item and just licensing it.

Nothing in these terms is any different from most MMORPG Terms of Service, so regardless of it being a contract of adhesion, there is no unconscionability in these terms as the product and all services therein are being licensed, not sold, to you, the end user. There would be nothing to argue in court.

You can pretend you understand civil law all you want, it doesn’t change the fact that the game company can do whatever they want. You’re using their property, and you’ve been provided the items or services you paid on a license. You don’t get to cry lawsuit over changes, no matter how much you want to.

I’m not even on IMC’s side here, I just can’t stand by while someone espouses such blatantly wrong information about contracts and law.

I don’t agree with that. No means to be irrespectfull, though. On the other hand, IMC is operating in my country, Argentina, laws are different here. Maybe you should check that.
