Well, I’ll give a small contribution too:

For me this error is completely random. Sometimes I get it, sometimes not.
My tip is: Just keep trying and you’ll enter sometime. But after you succed, don’t change characters! Because that error will appear again!

I can play every server, but mine (Gambija). That sucks. If I select Gambija, I get the error. If I select any other, I can play.

I already reinstaled the game, reboted the pc, everything. It just… doesn’t work. Sad ):

i think its either because of chars not logging out correctly or some problem with stored characters as my main server does the same thing (Laima)
natzrofatal’s post above works for me btw to get in.

The error appears to me in different situations, changing channels, logging, warping. I didn’t change any file.

After i deleted all the IFT files and repatched them it didn’t give me problems anymore… but this is for now . i dont know if it will be the same for all the day

Running patch/tos.exe as admin worked for me (server Gabija).

“CLOSED BETA TEST” someone like you shouldn’t test the game this early. sorry to say this but login issues are still part of the test. It’s open beta you are screaming for a gameplay test.

I think I found a solution!

Here is what I did! open your local file where you keeps the folder so called “patch”, delete it or move it to somewhere else to backup just incase. Now you shouldn’t be able to start the client and that is when you gotta go to steam game list, right click on your TOS game and bring up porperties. Go to LOCAL FILES tab and click on VERIFY …, and wait till its done. once its done, it should automatically popup a small steam window showing your progress of downloading update files, just let it’s done. Finally, after you’ve done updating, run TOS game on your steam, it might look wonky at first but after few seconds, it will do auto-patching itself. THAT’S IT!

I realized that this is only happening now in the new server, the Saule, because I could go into any other without any problems.
The way is to wait for a fix? ;’)

EDIT: since u mentioned that oter server work i tryed to log on there it let me in then i quit bach to server select and could go on Gabija instant lol

Actually, yesterday I made log in without do redownload, but today the error message is back, so surely is something that imc have to fix to us play.
