i’ve got the same error
so i got in to the game by changing the resolution mode to 2, but then gt back the error after i dced.
redownloading,deleting,verifying,tweaking,aint do nothing welp…GGWP see you guys when they’ve fixed the error
Well i fixed mine by setting the changing the Resolution mode = “2” and VSync = “0” at the user.xml file.
I think VSync is irrelevant. It’s about resolution mode.
If = 0 --> then you can’t alt tab
If = 1 --> then you get the error
If = 2 --> then you have to press “close window” immediately after “Enter Game” or whatever, and wait 5 seconds. Then cancel and voila.
So there are just 2 solutions, decide between not being able to alt tab or go window mode with that tricky thing.
The only thing that works is spamming enter!

yeah after quitting and restarting the game i got the error again, right now it seems completely random on startup whether u will get the error or not. maybe clicking on the server as fast as posible works, maybe not. it all makes no sense really. i hope u guys can get in, but it looks like hammering the login is the only way to fix this.

Of course not. It’s a global issue.
I have no idea why the TOS devs would say the players modified the files of the client for this issue. In reality, the issue happened after they patched their fix on the $NoData$ETC(whatever long message that was) that kept showing up during the login.

uninstall the steam , clean install the steam and redownload the game still the problem exist
I hate that people are constantly pointing out that “THIS IS A BETA TEST, WE’RE HERE TO TEST IT, IT’S NOT FINISHED” and “YOU’RE NOT PLAYING THIS GAME BCS YOU PAYED FOR IT, YOU CAN’T GET EVERYTHING”.
YES, we get that point, but does it look like we’re testing it? I don’t understand how they expect a good feedback when a huge number of players is either not able to get into the game at all and torturing themselves with trying to fix it alone, or just giving up on the game bcs they’ve had enough. The beggining of beta was reasonable to be a bit messed up, but bringing new bugs with every maintenance and patch is too much. Me, as well as a lot of people on this subject can’t get in the game, or got in for 10 mins then crash no matter what we try to fix it and I think we’re all sick of it already. If they don’t get they grip soon, the game will crash so fast they wont even know what happened.

another solution :
go to another server ,create character (but no need to create a real one, just click the create character button)
then cancel and back to the server list
choose the server u play, and begin ur journey
this works for some ppl but u haf to do it everytime
