The 'Crystal Root Lottree' Event [Conflict]

My questions are;

  1. Will they increase the spawn rate of Tree Root Crystals?
  2. Best map to hunt for Crystal?

Players will be able to choose another number by bringing another 5 Essences if they have selected the wrong number.

Ok so each player need 5 Root Crystal Essences if fail you can try again by gathering another 5 Root Crystal Essences.

So we have to compete with each other. Since the number will be RNG it’s 1/10 >.> this is pretty grindy if you have bad RNG.

“Players will have a chance of obtaining the Essence of any Tree Root Crystals that they destroy.”

So it’s not 100% drop rate. D: I don’t like this event already.

Just level and quest as per usual. You can take your time to complete as the event has no reward limit to a select number of players.

There is no fastest event clear reward for this event.

To answer the qn, there should be enough tree root crystals in most maps. Perhaps go to the map below Istora Ruins, I once saw many crystals spawn in a cluster, not sure about now.

:cry: imagine a whole day that you’d want to grind but your stuck looking for tree root crystals instead. anyways, low level maps spawn more tree root crystals and are easier to find due to having a smaller map design while higher maps are harder to go through as they are very big.

1/10 chance of getting the right number + chance of getting the Crystal itself from the tree. For people who can’t play all day and the event reset at Midnight. This can cause some problem.

Question is. Do the essence stack more then 5 or do you have to run back to town every time u get 5 of them? Thats the only issue i would have.

They go over 5. I seriously just got 7 in like 20 minutes of normal questing on a 200+ map. Went to the board and guessed the wrong number though.

Well, then we have to weigh whether the event is worth our time doing. If we got better things to do in game, can choose to forgo the event.

Well then i dont see any problems with this event. Just quest/run around on maps like normal and gather enough essence for at least 5 guesses and then just go town.

The essence is tradeable or not?

I want my alt to hunt crystal but the main to claim the reward

About an hour for 15 crystals, 3 guesses, 3 wrong, I don’t know if I’m pissed or mentally exhausted. I can see the light, is it redemption? Is it the reward? Who knows. I’ll have to take more supplies for the next journey, if I survive this one. To the ones I love, if you read this, don’t seek for revenge, just keep believing in RNG, I lost faith and this is the reason of my failure.

lol this event was easy… The boards will tell you if you guess wrong that your number should be higher or lower, so always pick number 5 then either 3 or 8 depends on higher/lower. If you still get wrong number, that leaves 1 or 2, 4, 6 or 7 and 9 or 10 respectively…

So just collect 20 trees at a day since you can by sense guess the number on 4th try

The board don’t say if its higgher or lower so u should collect 50 per day…i got 9 wrong…

fastest class to farm crystal is cata as trot in place. Essence is stackable and you can collect 50 piece at once or even more. but, for me, it depend the rewards and i choose which character i hunt for it for the day.

edit: choose map that is near city for safety or some unpopular map, lesser people around the faster the hunt.

I wonder if we can just gather enough crystals for the entire event in one night of grinding? That sort of thing is my style.

i got 150 root essence in 1 hour, need about 350 more for a whole 20 event quest, since i only need to guess 5 times to win the reward :slight_smile:

Go to Nuordin Falls I got 30 essenses in less then 10mins and got some recipes from the mobs. Also no one ever goes there except to quest and dungeon.

I farm my crystals in a secret area full of mysteries and wonders, never disturbed by someone passing through. :wink:
