The Confession Thread: Share Your Derpiest In-Game Moments!

I can’t remember exactly the map name but i think it was in Nuoridin Falls. This happened during cbt2. I was running from one edge of the map to the other. There were lots of range monster that are able to kill me in 2-3 hits and sadly i died while i was so close to my destination, swifty avoiding them for not too long before that fateful event happened. (you learn stuffs while avoiding a herd of archers at your back). So i clicked respawn and got teleported to the entrance of Valius’ Eternal Resting Place…

Only to die again because there is a ranged monster that pop up from no where and decides to camp nearby.

I had no other option but to keep clicking respawn hoping that guy will just go away (which he didn’t) while i’m sleeping on the floor. And you couldn’t change channel while you’re dead.

A party member of mine was like “what are you doing there?” while my HP went on full to 0 every few seconds and finally decides to come to my rescue from somewhere far away. And yep, when he finally was halfway walking across the map to my graveyard that guy just decides to scoot away. flips table

I bought a SH!T-TON of scrolls thinking i can make a profit:

I thought certain recipes being sold could have been sold for more at the npc…little did i know and 700k later that I was looking at the FINAL PRODUCT ITEM sell price and not the RECIPE sell price…

I can’t actually remember what the currency in this game is literally called even after playing for 70+ hours.

Think this can be counted as derp and ignorance…

Sooooo, my main is a Monk and Double Punch eats through STA like it’s nobody’s business. I had always kept a 25x supply of the dinky STA pills from the Klai/Orsha NPCs and 15x of the better ones from the Fedi NPC as my cap stock.

At some point I got annoyed with visiting Klai/Orsha to restock the small ones and to Fedi for the large ones as often as I was, that I decided to buy 100 of each. Well… went to the market NPC, bought a few HP and SP potions (was in the restocking mood) and noticed I could no longer run. I was limited to walking thanks to my capped weight limit.

For the life of me I could not figure out what the heck was bogging me down in my inventory and making me walk. I was making commentary over it to my friends in our ToS skype group chat, thinking maybe they could help me figure out the sudden spike in my weight limit. I legit thought maybe something in the game broke, wouldn’t be new, right?

I had the same amount of HP and SP pots that I always carried. I didn’t have a ton of extra armor or weapons in my bags either. After a while it finally occurred to me that I just purchased a ton of STA pills, so I hover over them to see that they weight 15 and 20 each. Can you believe that? 15-20 per STA pill. Absolutely ridiculous.

At least it was easily fixable. I ended up throwing most of them into my storage and told my skype friends what the cause was, but geez I felt so dumb after that, lol.

One can only wonder what the pills are made of for them to be that heavy. And whether it’s good for your char’s health to keep taking them in the long run. They most definitely aren’t some average vitamin or caffeine pills

From about level 1 to 151 I was pure STR (I was a Hoplite/Corsair at the time), and getting through the game solo was very easy… did very well in the 132 dungeons at around 132 to 140, found a great party and kept doing the dungeon over and over with instance resets

Used up some cards and figured I was ready for the 145 dungeon so I queued up and got into a random party as leader without a priest… my DPS was complete crap, everything in the dungeon was strong against piercing attacks, and the monsters were hitting me like a train!

So I died about 5 or 6 times and all of my equips are at 0% durability… everyone else in the party was doing very well except me, I wanted to just ragequit the dungeon, but I didn’t want everyone else to be kicked out of the dungeon too so I ended up staying, by the time we got to the first boss we exceeded the 1 hour time limit and got warped out of the dungeon

After that, I threw away all that BS quest equips and bought a full plate set and reset my stats, put a good portion of it into STR while having a decent amount of DEX, and did alot better ever since

For my point of view no big deals…

Made myself a fool by burning megaphones when i wanted to /s or /p something.
Upgraded my weapon in a squire shop and went tp level. After approx. 40 minutes i realised i’m hitting the monsters with my bare hands.
My self-deception whenever i say to myself “it’s only xy levels left or only xyz% left”

BUT

I have a friend who wanted to take a look at the game, he’s giving me real hard times and quite some laughs. Ofc we explained the basic mechanics and functions of the game to him and offered help if he has any questions, but:

  • he picked wizzard when he said he wanted to become a healer
  • he picked wizzard c2 over Pyro/Cryo but went on with Psycho
  • his char was balanced to the max! Which means he put the same amount of points to all his stats (like 30 str/con/int/spr/dex each)
  • yesterday he noticed that all the stuff/materials he bought on the market can be found in the “retrieve” tab. He’s playing since day one…
  • he never ever gets to read the chat (not too important as he’s playing in my LAN, but for online-only partymembers quite annoying) because he never blocked a single goldseller. We started to make fun of this and tell him to read the chat afterwards.

Can’t wait what’s next to come up

Alright, so get this.
I had leveled up a 6 star green gem, and was going to put it on my arde dagger. I was near a quest in demon prison and I was pretty tanky swordie character so I thought I would do it real quick before heading back to the blacksmith.

I happened to run into wrathful harpeia world boss, which was 10 lvl’s above me and decided to party completely forgetting I had the gem on me (I was excited cause you know, world boss hype)

I died and dropped the gem, it was a sad day :frowning:

Right! Why on earth would pills weigh more than HP and SP potions! It doesn’t follow logic at all xD But it’s a fantasy mmorpg so people could argue that real-world rules do not apply, lol. Still ridiculous, makes me wonder how large they are in game. Might as well be nomming a pill the size of a muffin if they’re that weight.

I just made a new character to turn into a Cataphract, and I bought an Assegai spear to use for a while after hitting Lv. 40. I slapped a Lv. 4 roasted green gem on it, and +6’d it. I decided to NPC some of the trash gear that was sitting in my inv before I went back to grinding, so I spammed clicked all that away, went to equip my Assegai spear, then realized I just threw it into the abyss that is the NPC shop.

And that’s when I learned to use the “lock” feature. I’m just glad it wasn’t a higher level item I did that with.

I did that too with a Zega spear. .
