It’s amusing that the person who only wants guilds to work in a way that benefits him is calling the other person who’s actually open to the unconventional templar guildmaker concept, among other things, narrow minded. Thank you for fulfilling my RDA for hypocrisy, my nutritionist thanks you.
Let me double check just to see i’m right… let’s see…
Said Arukado like when God handed out the ten commandments. “Listen folks uh… i know this isn’t really set in stone but uh… Thou shalt not make guilds in any other way than what pleases me. just make this into a law and believe it to be an absolute truth simply because I said it. Go forth and multiply and what not.”
And why is it stupid and terrible? Who actually said and made it a rule that a guild leader can and should be of any class? It is stupid and terrible, in your view, simply because you don’t like it. That’s it, plain and simple.
Yep, that looks about right. You’re a narrow minded hypocrite. Thank you come again!
Ah okay! Now I understand…
The fact is you don’t know how to read! Okay sorry buddy, I’ll try to go slowly for you, bold for you the few keywords, maybe you’ll manage to understand.
Let us check it back together.
I bold it for you. Shall. A term indicating some conditions, not a God’s commandment (“conditions” is a VERY important word here, very useful if you want to understand the speech).
Because in almost every MMORPG, creating a guild needs some requirements of that kind. Is this so hard for you to understand that? Btw I’m not saying that ToS guild system has to be exactly like the other games, it’s still a supposition, that the guild system may be like the others.
Woaaa! You impress me. For once, you don’t say something totally wrong. Good Job! I’m proud of you.
But let me develop that/answer to your questions.
No one said and made it a rule for ToS right now, because none of us know how it will be for sure, none of us is an IMC employee on the project I guess (-> supposition too). But that’s the system of some (a lot of) other MMORPG. Take RO for example (people loves to compare ToS with RO haha ;)).
You’re true about one thing: the fact that I like a guild system like that. I like the idea that anyone, of any class, has the opportunity to create a guild, it feels more friendly-user to me. That is the difference between want something and wish for something. Sorry to have different tastes than you… (please forgive me ^^)
But I’ll repeat that for you (because you didn’t read it before): it’s all speculations.
We don’t have full clear informations about the guild system yet. Like everyone, I’m waiting for them, to learn how will be the guild system. But the few unclear clues we have, don’t seduce me, that’s true. I need to fill the blanks, the missing parts of the chosen guild system, to understand well how things will happen. I’ll be glad to see a fully fonctiunal good guild system, and I hope that IMC will manage to change my opinion. Meantime, I just wanted to share/discuss about ONE other possibility. I’m sorry if that bothers you.
So… I’m narrow minded hypocrite because I dare to suppose the ToS’ guild system will be something like in the other games?! It’s a plausible supposition, not the absolute truth… Am I saying I’m right and you’re wrong (about the guild system)? The answer is no.
I guess making suppositions is too hard for you. I feel sorry for you buddy…
Was that clear enough for you? I hope you’ll learn how to read soon. Good luck man, & don’t give up. You’re gonna make it.
“To create an omelette, one shall only need eggs and onions”
Sorry to burst your bubble but someone’s been lying to you. SHALL ONLY is pretty definitive, it is not “conditional” You’re literally the last person to be giving me lessons about semantics and vocab words. All that grammatically incorrect and painfully incoherent ranting and your first argument you so confidently posed and even boldfaced for my reading pleasure is a hilarious bust. You were not discussing anything. You clearly, in your own words, cast judgment and came to the solid conclusion that it is stupid and terrible regardless of how you apparently yourself knew that here was little information available for you, me and everyone else… and between you, me, and everyone else take a wild guess as to who came to that conclusion that it’s stupid?
“I shall name you Toby”
This unfortunately not mean that the individual in question’s name is only Toby during Wednesday nights at 8 pm. or only when it rains. Jesus Christ.
Full Definition of SHALL
verbal auxiliary
1
a : will have to : must
b : will be able to : can
2
a —used to express a command or exhortation
b —used in laws, regulations, or directives to express what is mandatory
3
a —used to express what is inevitable or seems likely to happen in the future
b —used to express simple futurity
You should really stop, i’m seriously getting embarassed for you.
So you clearly don’t know the difference between SHALL and WILL… I was pretty sure you could understand the full meaning of the word “can” (it’s written in your copy/paste definition)… I guess I was wrong then, sorry my english isn’t perfect.
Okay my bad then, I should have started with the basics: replace ‘shall’ by ‘would’. Every “if” I said would have made you guess that…
I’m done with you, Champ’.
I actually posted much earlier in this thread about the japanese event and their cbt, but never chimed in on the Templar debate here. So I p[laced my opinion on the subject.
If my post bothers you. Scroll passed it because there’s plenty of it where that came from.
No sir, doesn’t bother me at all. At the very least even with your very short and indifferent post you made more sense than one person did in all of his. I don’t like to name names but his name rhymes with barukado. @Synnie
@Arukado good riddance and go be insufferable and hypocritical elsewhere. Gtfo the kitchen if you can’t stand the heat. Basically somewhere where people won’t call you out on your flawed logic because you obviously are incapable of being or much less realizing you are wrong.
And I’m the one with the flawed logic… How sweet! #irony
Back to the topic. So we’ll have the first feedbacks of the templar class in one looooong month…
I wonder if IMC will give us few extra informations in the meantime. After all, that class is a huge source of debates.
Seriously, I don’t get the point of ‘All class X only guild’ wtf is it for? If any, it falls to the fun guild again and serves no real purpose other than probably fulfilling your fantasy of some Hogwarts-All-Mage-Only-Guild or Order-Of-The-Sword swordsman only guild or some stupid fails stuffs like that.
You don’t really argue with the system just because it doesn’t fit your fantasy.
You don’t argue that an archer can’t really jump shot or why other class can’t run like swordsman, it’s just how the systems are set up and you just have to accept it.
But for now, we don’t know how exactly is the guild system. These debates are all about speculations & wishes.
We have to wait for final statements from IMC before acceptation.
I like to have fun. But i also like having purpose and being successful. Do not speak as if you’re representing every single person who’s planning on playing this, trust me, people will get by if they don’t end up joining Arukado’s “Wizards only guild”.
IF the templar class really is limited to the swordsman tree, I think there are practical reasons for doing so. Limiting the skills that people will have access to when they play the class as a guild leader is probably a major one. It will prevent guild leaders from being centered around the cloak and hide mechanics like what happened in ragnarok with most guild leaders eventually being assassin/sinx/gx rogue/stalker/chaser and the occasional sura because of snap.
Besides, the leader of a guild strikes me as a lead-from-the-front role, rather than sit back and cast or hide-in-the-shadows, kind of thing anyway. An argument could possibly be made for Paladins and such, but IF it turns out to be swordsman only, then I am fully supportive of that decision because I know that the reasons are probably much more practical than simple lore or immersion.
