Team Battle League doesn't use your equipments

Fun facts: Team battle leagues doesn’t use your equipments, it actually gives everyone default pvp equipment, I provide all the screenshots below.
The first 2 screenshots is my full equipments, take note missing stats is that triggered my confusion is Max Petamion and my Costume Headgear and Weapon Awakening, Dark and Fire property attack and Holy, Fire property resistance, the only thing shows is the “Grynas Set” bonus, Dark property resistance.

And then I proceed to take off all my Necklace and Rings


no stats changed, my critical rate, physical attack and accuracy didn’t move, implying Sissel’s -20 accuracy and +21 atk, and 37 crit rate each stats isn’t there, Max Petamion +14 isn’t applying too base on my first 2 full equipment screenshots

And then I proceed to take off my 4 pieces of Grynas equipment set,


I lost 1020 HP upon the first equipment being taken off, a sign that Grynas set bonus is lost.

On taking off the second piece of equipment, I lost the 20 dark property resistance and lost the HP I gained from Plate Mastery.

On taking off the third pieces of equipment, I lost the remaining 10 dark property.

Overall on taking off all 4 pieces,
My physical def from 364 drops down to 257.
My accuracy remained the same, 285. (and 285 value cause my level 280 + 5 dex)
My critical rate remained the same, 6. (never invested in dex so base dex 1 + 5 dex)
Block penetration, magic defense, evasion, critical resistance all remained the same, just my base stats + my base level if the stats applies.

And on battle, I found my Sissel procs and gives me the movement speed whenever I cyclone and has more than 8 misses, but the Phy attack and Crit rate from the ring does not apply, only the effects is there.

The below points I didn’t manage to take screenshots,
My weapon damage isn’t reflected of my the weapon actual damage too, I notice the weapon only give me the attack value of 227~423 (the default pvp equipment - Overknife).

My headgear costume I taken off all too but it doesn’t change any value, I have element property attack but it wasn’t anywhere to be found.

Conclusion, in PVP team battle league, is as stated from the website http://www.tosbase.com/game/pvp/team-battle-league/
default pvp item is used, the only thing that is ours is our skill level, attribute level, our stat points we invested and equipment bonus property(Grynas 4 piece bonus set effect, Sissel effect etc).

To take any advantage in PvP arena, only your invested stat points matters, wear set bonus equipments because somehow the system detects it and gives you the bonus, and raise your skill attribute.

How about armor mastery? Does it still apply? How about armor/damage type reductions/bonuses?

So I waste my money buying a Sage wall and 2 glass bracelets to not be 1 hit KO by Mages? X_x
And can´t equip some gear with Block pen to try to hit someone with Stone skin? X_x

Well, this makes things just a tad fairer because I certainly don’t want to fight against exploited overupgraded items and such.

It’ll be a battle of wits and skill rather than equipment.

The bad things are, some of this makes a certain build useless (reducing diversity).

For example, it became much harder to go full INT in arena because you can’t compensate it with equipment.

Yes, THIS. Makes alot of build become pointless, and its also part of the reason there is tier for each classes e.g. warlock, plague doctor, catap and cloaking overpowered in arena.

So we must only consider costumes that give hp/sp or any elemental property resistance?

How can we learn what applies and what doesn’t apply in Team Battle League?
This is something players should be informed about. Things die for lack of communication.

Good point about the stat problem. It’ll be a battle of CON if the extra stats from gears don’t apply.
They’ve already tried to make it somewhat balanced with the level scaling to 200.

IMC should list the rules out for what is and isn’t working for the team arena. I’d like to know how the auto-matching works. Is it the first 10 folks to hit the join button and then a random distribution into teams without considering classes or ranks?

It’s dumb AF, honestly. Each players builds and hunts items to potentialize his/her own build. Why would we want to get equipped all the same, since we build different? That will kill pvp.

Edit: I tested here and Monster Gems still working, but not color gems (red, green etc.).

tbh i noticed this on day - 2 after tbl was released. i can’t rush enemy team while wizards keep hitting me so hard, when after the next round, i tried using cloth set but i noticed the stat/defence - differences aren’t changed. this what triggers me to use my wiz and use cloth set w/o plate mastery. lol quite fair enough for me.

What makes me sad is that rapiers gives you 0 atk. IMC forget to gives us a custom rapier.

Two handed swords at least gives you a decent amount of physical attack. also, if you wear both a dagger and a rapier (corsair), well…

Yep we are almost the same. But mine is worst though. bought a cheap 0 potential sage wall for tbl. and now it is stuck in me forever. *boink

So accesory set bonus effect will occured in tbl…

But how about hair acc enchant??
