kTOS got a major buff on Str damage and skill damage yet swordsman still crying. What they really want to achieve? Hunter and Falconer patiently waiting for the issue about the pet AI. Chronomancer/Linker/Thaug share almost all of there skill same with Clerics class. Swordsman and thier self buffs.

The Damage are not really far on each other and they receive same damage when upgrade. Melee weapon hit multiple enemy, bow/crossbow/Riffle hit only single enemy.
And you guys want to buff your damage more. On every class there is a Pros and Cons. You want to remove the con of the swordsman. The hell you want to achieve. Even on Ragnarok online swordsman dont have huge damage. I played Swordsman3/Cataphract3 too during CBT2 and Barbarian3/Dopple during CBT3 and decide to try other class on OBT. I donâs see any problem till I reach level 200.
Swordsman doesnât need buffs. Swordsman needs finetuning. Finetuning =/= buff. things like making melee hitbox bigger, aiming skills easier for all classes. Also a resolve system where you are immune to cc for a few second after getting chained cc like they have in swtor would be great. This is quality of life changes that is applicable to all melee classes, not just swordsman.
iâve seen cleric doing more damage than swordsman b4. Not saying thereâs anything wrong with cleric hitting huge numbers, but itâs pretty immersion breaking considering cleric is supposed to be a healing class.

Well even TOS developers disagrees with you. They keep on buffing swordsman damage in kTOS. Something that IMC said will implement once the balances are finalized.
Swordsman would be perfectly fine if they have something to stop themselves from getting chain cced to death. Thereâs no point to have a class thatâs melee range and deals no damage other than for tanking purpose.
Atm, All other class can enjoy pve and pvp content.

Okay tell me what skill on the archer classes that makes you feel underwhelming. That make you say that archer have a huge damage. And don`t dare to include Fletcher cos the arrow crafting mechanics eats huge part of your weight and you cant stock many. You need to constantly go to fletcher master to craft arrows. Broom trap and Rogue damage already nerf.
Wizard need to get a specific class to get a Huge AOE damage(Wiz3/Elem3). Most of wizard class are for crowd control and support. Pyromancer damage are so linear and can easily dodge by players. Cryo are a bunch of CC. Psycho too. Linker is a support. Thaum and chrono too. Sorcerer need to invest a huge amount of money to got a good damage. Necro corpse mechanics are so bad and so annoying. Warlock got a huge nerf on one of there best skill because you guys crying so much. Ow feather foot got huge damage.
Because when you CC someone god forbid you to retreat, you need to stay close to them until the CC goes out.

Swordman is trash in comparison to archer and wiz.
Archer can do hundreds of thousands of damage per minute. With a 30k+ 0 sec cd skill and several 10 secs or less skills that do over 50k of damage each.
The âstrongestâ swordman skill Gaebulg at 100% damage attribute does 11k damage with a 30 sec cd and MAKES YOU LOSE YOUR SPEAR reducing your damage until you grab it. â â â â â â â utter trash.
Even if you make strong skills like dragontooth and cyclone 0 cd and buff the damage of every single swordman skill by 100%. Swordman would still be subpar to archer.
Anyone who says Swordsmen have low damage is absolutely out of their minds. Their damage is decent, but there are a few issues to consider in this game itself, mechanically in PvE and in comparison:
Most things have knockback and cancelling abilities the higher you get up. Without Pain Barrier, you run the gambit of getting your skills cancelled and having no impact with that skill at all. Wizards and Archers donât get that simply because, ayy, they attack at medium to long ranges to not worry about it. So right now, your DPS is semi-dependent on Pain Barrier which doesnât even protect you against certain ailments such as Freeze, Sleep, or Petrification.
Archers and Wizards both have scaling on their skills, whether it be by their cooldowns or just a plain % addition onto the skills. Accompanied usually with good amounts of multi-hit skills, their damage is quite higher than youâd expect. Any Wiz3 gets a straight 100% uptime +50% to every spell they have, and Archers tend to have skills that bounce or afflict multiple enemies at once. Swordsmen donât, most of what we have are flat increases which make earlier levels easier but have no bearing in the later levels. This leads our damage to be okay, but not amazing.
Some Swordies have wonky hitboxes. I play a Hopsair, and Stabbing sometimes straight lies on what it can hit or not. The fact that ironically Stabbingâs hitbox is shorter on a class that augments range is dumb, and any movement cancels it as well. All an Archer has to worry about is locking onto a target and both they and Wizards worry about small AoE areas.
Right now, the kToS buff helped, but it isnât enough considering thatâs not where the problem stems. Rather, they shouldnât tackle numbers like that and should go after the crappy skills that have no bearing: For instance, GungHo and Concentrate and making them have percentage scaling.

Do you read latest announcement? They might adjust the fix, but the direction will not be changed. They will test it out on kTOS first before applying to iTOS.
