Swordman going full Str is pretty much a call to the suicide hotline. A high Dex Fencer can tank in front of the boss without breaking a sweat but other full Str Swordman will suffer. A melee glass cannon is really fun to play
they need to remove the 1 of each class exp buff
and just watch what happens

My DPS sucks because pain barrier? Phenomenal logic, friend.
Pain barrier gives a minor increase to resistance against negative effects, the only effects it totally blocks are knockbacks/knockdowns and staggers. Youâll still be stunned, frozen, rooted, or just killed while itâs active. Peltasta gives you +25% HP, +18% evasion, active guard for blocking headshots, snipes, cannon blasts, etc., and umbo blowâs enormous knockback attribute for kicking enemies out of safety zones, druid invulnerability AoE, etc. or throwing enemy melee away from your team. All of the survival boosts are critical to get in and deal damage, because guess what? You do 0 DPS while dead.
Highlander gives you crown which does nothing in the full CON mage meta, wagon wheel which is just inferior to bash and vastly inferior to umbo blow for knockdown, cartar stroke which does nothing in PVP because it has to be charged, and crossguard which is okay but not nearly as good as peltastaâs guard for blocking physical nukes, thereâs still a pretty considerable chance for them to go through while guard can easily put you over 2000 blockrate and stop anything from hitting you even against builds with a decent amount of STR.
Oh, and a pathetic +50% crit attack boost. Feel free to go full STR Swordsman for that +50% crit attack only to realize you canât actually land any crits because your crit chance gems donât work in battle league, only monster gems apply their effects, not to mention youâll just miss all of your attacks against the high DEX archers, and then they straight up kill you because you have such low HP and no evasion or crit resist. Or you can use a DEX build and still never crit because full CON builds give way too much crit resist for you to have more than a 10-20% critrate⌠oh, and with a DEX build you have extremely low crit attack anyway, so that +50% crit attack boost is again totally â â â â , and you canât dodge magic so you still get roasted with your low CON.
Concentrate scaling with str/dex still leaves it as a flat damage boost, and the dex scaling is pretty low so only str builds will see a noticeable boost from it, and str builds get torn apart by both magic and physical attackers as already mentioned. Rank 8 skills having lots of multihits makes concentrate better in theory, but when they do tens of thousands of base damage per hit, an extra 400 from concentrate is a drop in the bucket.
Sure, some of what you said applies in PVE, although not much of it since you didnât even know how the highlander crit attribute worked. But guess what? Youâll never get invited to a party with your rebelious special snowflake no peltasta build, because no matter what you claim your DPS is always going to be inferior to an archer and way inferior to a wizard. Youâre there to pull mobs and if you canât pull mobs someone who can will gladly take your spot. Enjoy your DPS no peltasta swordsman build that does ~5% more damage than a peltasta build, youâll really need that extra 5% when youâre playing solo.

Love how top arena top ranks are full str cataphract (Dodge, pfffffâŚ), And mostly full int Warlocks, not like that 500 dmg ticks from spells coming from that full con Wizards are a pain. Haha my 12k hp bokor level 133 rank 11 arena laugh at those full con whores.
Good barbarians with that pouncing while dashing give me more problems than any full con wizard that deal 0 dmg.
Also for pve, why dont you create your own party? Had no problem leveling my no peltasta swordsman.
Fencer would need epee stance to give at minimum 6x damage to have any kind of shot at this

Iâm actually probably going to go very high str if we ever get a stat reset, but Iâll still be at the evasion cap without the extra dex so it doesnât matter
Nope. Iâm just saying those full con guys are not a threat. And yes barbs are doing great at arenas.
Barb 3 can actually be really, really good in tbl because of the pouncing knockdown attribute. Pouncing hits a total of 33? times now and each slash has a 40% chance of knocking down your opponent and they can still be knocked down while they are already knocked down, and the skill is extremely strong in general. The only drawback is the cooldown and I guess having to take 3 circles of barb for pvp⌠but we should be getting a lowered cooldown eventually. I hate pvp in this game due to balancing issues but in the quest to get my 50 points Iâve taken out a lot of teams 1v3 and 1v4 just by holding down the pouncing button and running around (though to be fair these are also low mmr matches)

Dont forget that while dashing you get 30% debuff resistance. And you can dash while pouncing. Sum that to pain barrier new resistance and youâre Good to pounce even cryomancers to hell.
With the way the R8 class reveals went unless swordsman can pull a miracle out of their ass they will still be a pve taunt slave or an archer replacement with heavier investment. Putting something similar to quick cast (movement for while attacking, for instance, with benefits to damage) would probably help define swordsman dps and tank builds much more firmly - why does gung ho not fulfill this role?
TBL will always be a joke until imc realises having the majority of your leaderboard as clerics isnât a healthy sign. Non-meme swordsman builds are stuck in a cc based hell right now that a meager 20% + 30% resistance canât fix. At this point any c2 cleric build is pretty damn safe in terms of not having to reroll just to compete with a new meta.

Well, high Str =/= full Str, at least Swordie has 3x more HP than Archer or Wiz. I have been dumping Dex and Con ever since my QS got one-shotted by the mole in mission. Heck, Dex desperately needs some kind of buff right now
