hey guys, i was wondering if taking sword 2 has any benefits, i’m fairly new, and I don’t quite understand much so I’m just copying a build I saw from youtube, i noticed the person has swordsman 2 because they have restrain, is restrain good along with the extra levels in concentrate and barrier? thx
Bad idea!
The Restraint skill/buff would allow you to stun regular monsters at a low rate (does not work on bosses)
Swordsman (C2) will also give you access to higher level buffs such as concentrate, gung ho, etc…
Thrust and Bash might work with the shinobi clones, but the damage on those skills don’t scale too well at higher levels compared to other skills from other circles
Another thing is, alot of players end game are very picky about the particular build you have, having Swordsman (C2) instead of lets say Swordsman (C1) / Peltatsa (C1) would make it very difficult to get partys after level 220+ because you will lack Swash Buckling (a AoE taunt/lure skill used to pull monsters around you)
restrain is… useful i guess. you lose damage, but possibly stun enemies.
the extra levels of Concentrate and Pain Barrier will probably not be worth it on their own. but then again, if you did go Swordie2, what else would you take?
none of my builds bother with Swordie2, but everyone needs to make their own choices.
Rodelero is often described as underpowered. you might want to research it a lot more before going down that path.
but generally, you should pick a simpler, more “standard” build to get to know the game, as well as being prepared to do a lot of research on each class before taking it.
If you’re going Pel then abandon Swordman C2.
If you’re going Swordman C2 then abandon Pel.
I would drop one in Rodelero and get sword 3, if you must have anything more than sword1. Restrain is an underwhelming skill imo, if planing to rank 7 shinobi.
Then at least you can take advantage of Shinobi/ sword skill clone use. Understand this will not be a DPS build you kind of spread yourself very thin trying to cover too many bases with rodelro and sword as well as pelt. However a build like this will need pelt or will be very dependant on great team work with party…
If you intend to go the shinobi tank path you can start here for information.
