IMC’s damage control is most likely to roll out the same way it did in regards to bots. IMO those bot lists are a bunch of hand waving and half arsing meant to appear that they care so certain types of people won’t leave.

I have no confidence that any solution they roll out will be comprehensive enough or aggressive enough to change anything. Given their track record we have a pretty clear picture of this company’s personality. I don’t see it drastically turning around myself.

I loved the game but I’ve been gone a month now and I’ll likely never return at this rate. Really need to break myself of checking the forums too. Still looking for something to replace it though.

So… This thread is one of the few threads I actually agreed wholeheartedly. But something is bugging me: Is there any reason people are saying “bolero exploit” instead of “boleto exploit”?

Bolero = A type of latin music/dance. Also a piece of clothing akin to a shrug.
Boleto (short for “boleto bancário”) = The HUE version of a bank slip.

Or on top of the boleto exploit, some slow-tempoed dancers also exploited in ToS? The humanity! :grin:

Alright, I can get behind that ideaology. Infact, they probably had the idea to do so months ago when they started to surface, but weren’t sure of their own ability to do so. Having two seperate databases to manage is overkill on a small company anyway, not sure why they attempted to do so.

I think that’s what hinges the choices: IMC’s activity. How they react to it, how they plan on coping with it, and their execution in patching said exploits.

That said, I don’t really reject the idea, but I imagine that the dream server unless provisions or management change, that’d it fall to a similar fate.

A new server would deffinately be nice once all the gamebreaking bugs are fixed, i just dont see the reason to start a new server at ToS current state :confused:

This poll is invalid. You did not include an option for a character transfer with 100k max silver, no attributes and no non-quest items, which was a critical option for my idea.

A new server would just soak up IMC’s limited resources, even if they did create a new server it would just be the same case with the old servers. IMC needs to deal with those underlying problems first before creating a new server. though personally I’m not against a new server, but with the upcoming Ktos updates to Itos I don’t think now is a good time for it.

The merger is just days away. Of course the new server would happen after, if it happened at all.

If everything happens smoothly, but we’re talking about IMC. a lot of problems from cbt2 is still present to this day. they should resolve those first before creating a new server.

It isn’t needed. For a new server to work, all exploits should be fixed.

If exploits are fixed, remember that this is a game with a designed level cap of over 400. There is a lot of gear to add to the game, there are class balance patches coming, and there are more circles coming. As these are phased in the effects of exploiters will feel smaller and smaller.

If exploits are not fixed, if new gear isn’t added, and classes aren’t balanced and added to the game. A new server is a waste of time anyway.

This simply isn’t true. You’re ignoring the catastrophic effects of maxed attributes from having effectively unlimited silver, and of course the TP quantity. The only thing time will kill are the impossibly upgraded gears.
