First of all, I’m not going to make any accusations of cheating or exploiting to any guilds in particular. Like I said, I hold no resentment towards the guild that beat us. In any MMO, no matter how perfect, there will bound to be a number 1 guild that is the best of the best. Even without alleged hacks or exploits, there will always be guilds that are ultra-competitive to take the number one spot.
Secondly, to the replies that are essentially, in a nutshell, telling us to git gud, it’s not that I’m not familiar with how the top guilds got to where they are. Meta builds, strict recruitment requirements, dedication to gearing up and leveling up, I’m aware of all these things. However, all my guild and I can really do is simply try our best.
To clarify my point above, as @Miscbox said, try new strategies, try to improve, sure. I get that. Personally as a player, I don’t mind queuing every single day, fight the top guilds over and over again, losing over and over again, trying to improve with every lost and learn from our mistakes. However, this is a very idealistic way to view the current situation.
While I myself personally don’t mind, the rest of the guild might not feel the same way. The other guilds who are not at the top might not feel the same way. As I said in my original post, the “right” thing to do at the moment is simply queue once, hope we win, get into ranking, then never queue again for the rest of the week for free TP. To do otherwise is to rack up losses, not get into ranking and ultimately a futile attempt to compete.
That being said, ultimately my guild and I would like to have fun in this game, particularly in GvG. We’d like to be matched with guilds that is on par with our own strength. While losing is a part of the game, at the very least we would like to lose to a guild that we have a realistic chance of winning against. In prior matches where we put up a good fight and lost, we felt good about it. "We could’ve won that last match,’ we said, “Let’s queue again and try to do better.” In matches against the top guilds, that sentiment was absent.
Finally, to summarize all my points, my guild and I would like to participate in the GBL aspect of Tree of Savior. We would like to fight guilds who are within our leagues. Guilds within our leagues however doesn’t want to participate in fear of getting matched by the top guilds. We all end up participating once a week for the reward and that’s it. That’s all there is to us for GBL right now and frankly, it’s not much fun.
I suggested this so that everyone else would queue for GBL. If there is a better way, I’d like to see an implementable, practical solution; not an idealistic one. I liked @cnatomos’s and @MelioettaZyguard’s solution. We just want everyone else to participate in GBL so we can have even matches. That’s all I’m asking.
