[Suggestion] Improving the Leveling system

Before start reading, note that this is only a suggestion based on my opinion; thus, you aren’t obligated to agree with it.

After following the game over a year, playing in the iCBT 's (the last 2 ones), reading several topics, an issue caught my attention; one that has been discussed several other topics: Leveling. No, this isn’t a “omg xp so low imc pls” topic, but a topic to discuss and propose a solution to some problems like level gaps between maps and map grinding impracticality.

The basic idea of the suggestion is: after complete all the quests of an certain map, the Exp. gain from monster hunting on that map is increased dramatically, almost reaching the Exp/Time of doing quests and using Exp. cards. So, for example, if you complete all quests in a area, and the next area is 8 levels above your level, you could just stay in the completed area and grinding until the level gap dissapear; or if you like grinding, you can just get into a party and stay on the completed area, receiving the same amount of Exp. comparing with doing the quests in the next area. This would eliminate 2 problems at once, making grinding satisfactory and a viable option for leveling, and also give a option for resolve the level gaps between areas/maps.

Tl;dr:

The basic idea of the suggestion is: after complete all the quests of an certain map, the Exp. gain from monster hunting on that map is increased dramatically, almost reaching the Exp/Time of doing quests and using Exp. cards.

Thanks for reading and feel free to make a healthy discussion. PS: ENGLISH IS NOT MY NATIVE LANGUAGE

tl;dr – “why is this grinding game is making me grind!?”

don’t like having to grind, go play something else. they aren’t going to change the basic leveling mechanics a week after release.

I don’t really get why are you even grinding before demon prison. Our levelling speed is limited by our quest progress, not exp from mobs.

@Mirarara i’m never sure if you’re a troll, or just have a very abrasive way of trying to help people.

leveling isn’t limited by quests… you could, if you wanted, just start grinding from level 1, and ignore questing completely. this would be rather silly, as the rewards from questing probably improve leveling speed greatly, for as long as they hold out… but nonetheless, you could still do it.

What? i didn’t say that grinding is a bad idea, on the contrary, im said that grinding should be buffed, so people that like grinding can leveling with this way. Right now, people just go straight to quest, dungeon and instances, then wait until next day, cuz even if they grind, there will be no much reward.

In my opinion tos never really turned into a “grinding” game, unless you think that horrible grinding is satisfactory, grind should be equal or better than quests in a grinding game, in tos as most mmo’s nowadays questing is better than grinding.

Tbh I kinda agree that there is too much quest and too little grinding to do at first 140 level.

I’m bored of questing.
