Suggestion about the combat system

When i started playing i was expecting so much that i was getting anxious. But when i started playing how the combat was, and i really lost interest on it. But talking to people here, which the community is really great, we agreed that the combat system has to be improved.
I was really hoping for a combat system that would challenge to player to play.
What i mean is:
Instead of cooldowns and auto attack i would rather love to play with these:
Light attack - if you constantly press this it will be just like an auto attack.
Medium or Heavy attack - You can start with this, but will be less effective and deal less damage than a combo. If you start with a light attack then go for medium and finish with a heavy attack you will devastate your enemy !
Special attack - Some kind of class specific combo.
Skills - Based on classes, fits on any combo.
Defense & Dodge(based of class or both on all classes) - You can stand your ground and defend for reduced damage, or just try to dodge the attack instead of “miss” without even really dodging it.

Imagine this:
You are a mage trying to beat a boss - The boss do a charged attack and you go to his back - You do : 2x light attack dodge to the side while rapidly pressing the heavy attack and finish your combo with a fireball !
Now that’s playing.
But what you really see:
Spam skills - walk away from the boss attack, spam auto attack waiting for skills.

I made a full dex archer and even bosses missed me while kneeling. That was, challenge-less/easy.
The game would be more “adventurous” if you could block enemy attacks or dodge with your skills ! Instead of relying on stats.

I grew up with many intense combo games , but if you have fingers to master it!
When i first heard of ToS my freinds told me that you could “combo skills”. But it only shows you how many hits you had…Disappointing.
Look at this and tell me if this game doesn’t pump you up :

A mage here dodge, attack, cast spells(very slowly, also because its a really old game) and be a badass.
ToS can have all of this.
Or like in thisgame: be overrun by enemies because you have no skill at all:

Conclusion:
I want to play a game that my skill matter not my level.
A game that i can beat a boss with my party because we had skill to do it, not because we walked away from its “telegraphed” skills. A boss that will punish you for being unaware, not because it can one hit ko people.
Where the combat could feel much smoother and intense as you charge forward enemies with a new combo you just learned. But a new skill that you will use every now and then, or spam it because it has low cooldown.

I think u mistake ToS with Dragon Nest (skill comboing/blocking and dodging, heavy skill oriented classes). To some degree ofc.

Damn… this suggestion is too late in the development. It could have been interesting, but I doubt they can accommodate this now.

I’m sorry but I don’t think this will see the light of day.

I really had hope that if people supported it, it might make them think a little bit and improve the game. But its okay.

Years have passed and this is still good to read.

But I think who want this are playing Dungeon and Fighter by now.
