What a shame.
In my opinion, previous winners shouldn’t be able to participate in the next contest, I won’t give names (because it’s obvious) but some of them are just farming free TP, and they know they’ll win.
2000 TP since December (more?) + costumes, and discourages entries from “not popular” artists.
It’s just a circlejerk, don’t let yourself be disappointed by it, your art deserved to win and it should have, way over some other pieces.
I’m personally requesting more, I hope I’ll see you again in a next contest.

while the current mechanics won’t do anything to solve staff and fan/friend favoritism
i just feel like everyone deserves a little token of appreciation simply by just participating. i mean, a simple FB event that i didn’t even participated got me some in-game prize. And here we have some legit effort from participants, and they get nothing from it if they didn’t make the cut ‘w’;
i understand your sentiments regarding not popular artists, i myself is a 3-time straight unpopular participant 'w’y and i understand how this is hurting the event due to the discouraging message it brings to new participants
i mean, we all here come to have a nice time as an art community recognizing each other, but it is hard to do that when they’re easily lost in the forums, and the voting page’s ephemeral nature isn’t helping either .__.

Maybe not you, but me yes. It infuriates me seeing many artists with wonderful talents and drawings that get less votes than a screenshot or some meme drawing, making them less confident about their art while it shouldn’t be.
Quite the shame because yours was actually an excellent loading screen, honestly I just downloaded it and I’ll put it myself in the folder, I’ll replace some other one which doesn’t deserve to be a winner, I have a lot of choice.
Pretty accurate, didn’t see it that way.
But hey of course, it’s 500 TP and all new gacha costumes for free, just let the popular ones farm them each contest festival.

Ah yes, this is why i was appealing to staff on implementing a participation prize (the easy way)
or
a dedicated page that showcase all the entries that can be linked from the popolion post magazine (harder, but this would be a fairer recognition to all participating artists)
in that way, there will be no need to go diehard-tryhard mode for people who would have fallen for the temptation to beat participants with an unfair advantage in their game
i am quite fulfilled with the number of votes (70) i got, despite not winning OwO
i mean, only a small fracture of it are from my friends and the rest are from people i don’t know OAO
i never had this much votes from the past events either OwO;;;
fot me, it is enough of an achievement that i got that much favor while being fair to everyone (limited promotion of my entry within the forum community)

a lot of my stuff are drawn just for leisure and not in par (uncolored traditional) with my entries that require a bit of competitiveness ‘w’;;;;

Not gonna lie, I directly replaced (and removed) the images of some artists, either because of my own taste, that they shouldn’t have won and/or that they are abusing the rewards as I keep saying.
That’s simply because you deserve it, keep on going and I’m sure you’ll make it (and get some TP), no doubt about it.
I do really like your style, it’s also quite interesting how you feel very shy and cutesy but draw in such a “mature” and sexy style. It gives you an interesting personality.
Even your drawings without any colors are impressive.
If not for any website, I can understand that your drawings don’t have any type of frequency, which is normal because it’s a passion and not an due work, maybe you have a discord server or something that works I could stalk you with?

whenever i tag along exhibits, both conservative (this is not wholesome ):< ) and non-conservative (this is not porn ):< ) peeps gives me a disapproving look XD
of course there are peeps who likes them too OwO though the probability is like 1 out of 300 peeps :'D

You shouldn’t, it’s your style which is very great, it’s not because you’re a girl that you have to draw cute lolis with adorable faces, I’d watch your more original art over these any day.

I don’t have much to say except of how much it tilts me, because it’s actually good too. The background, the colors, the eyes, all the details…
Add that vodka bottle so people can’t say “buuut they’re kiiiids”. No they’re just 1000 years old girls, as always, right?
I’m approving any type of art as long as the artist isn’t seeking pure attention and recognition, like the ones if you criticize them, they throw a tantrum, or the ones adding some “meat” to attract more people.
Do you draw that rarely or is it just that you don’t share it?
If you do since you have discord, feel free to PM me and I could add you, so you can send to me all kind of pieces you did if you feel like, seeing this last one I’m even more interested by how various your style is.
I’d prefer that over having you disappear forever except if you ever join an art contest again.
I unfortunately have no talent to draw, no matter how much I try I just can’t progress, so I always feel interested, or even envious with other people’s art.

oh yes, i rarely draw under these category, since most of them are inspiration driven
and then add the fact that i tend to immerse on them for a very long time since a big part of it is that i enjoy the feel of lead on paper, that i repeatedly draw lines to result with the texture and shading like so ‘w’/
most of my works are traditional btw ‘w’ even my digital are actually scanned lineart that’s digitally colored ‘w’
i doodle a lot that’s for sure XD
i could give you some online tutorials if you want ‘w’ though i myself is not that good with directions ‘w’;;

I was practicing for many months and I still can’t get much further than “drawing” poorly executed stick figures. I’ve been trying pixel art too, but it seems I just can’t get any of it right.

To be honest, your fanart idea was so good to be true. And I know you put your efforts and thoughts on this one. They should at least take consider your idea…but that just me sayin…hehe (this is why i didn’t put too much effort on my entry…tho i feel your efforts and pain btw ;w;)

i’ll just ask sis on which tutorials are beginner friendly OwO/
i’ll provide them as soon as i can get them OwO
in the meantime, i started out by copying my figures by eye, of course really basic poses that allows me to study basic anatomical proportions like
how i scale the hand length/width based on the distance between the subject’s chin to brow/ distance between the outer ends of the eyes
or how the elbow is almost aligned to the subject’s waist, and the wrist being aligned on the crotch base, sumthin like that ‘w’
of course these are just something you can start with, you’ll eventually start to experiment on some deviations which helps you develop your own artstyle OwO
here are some japanese basics tutorial books if you wanna take a look ‘w’/ untranslated but a bit easy to understand ‘w’

although, rather than putting much though on my entry, it’s more of that the thoughts just keeps coming and i cannot contain them OAO tbh i plan to submit multiple entries due to being overwhelmed with ideas, but since i realized that only one entry is allowed, my current entry is a hodgepodge of these different ideas and try to make all of them work in one entry XD
(tldr : i made things up as they go @w@ )
But yeah :'D it’s not really about not winning that got me deciding to refrain from participating on future artfests, but more on some stuff happened along the way that kind of question me staying in the community’s artistic aspect ‘w’;;;
