Just search this post for the word “Majority”, isn’t it the point Infinity is defending? That we are ‘labeled’ as trash because the “majority” of brazilians are bad? We’re just returning the favor to Infinity. There may be nice ones in there, but they’re covered in the Majority of disgusting xenophobe nazis.

I’m sorry but if you disagree with what your guild has been doing and still want to stay in it, that’s something you’ll have to deal with

Geez 300+ replies in this thread why not settle this dumb whatever this is with a 5 on 5 match make it best of 3 or whatever.

Of course the guild with the most members are going to win regardless if they are only 50 lvls below them you know why? because the guild with the most members has double or even triple the amount of CC’, stuns, and heals.

So settle it with a 5 on 5 match and be done with it. This crap is pathetic to read in 2016.

Okay, I was bored in class so I read through this whole thing. I’m not affiliated with either guild (I play on Orsha), and you’re both being shitty.

First off, this war definitely started because of racism. The English speaking community in ToS has a huge racism issue. I would say PD was absolutely justified in starting this war. It sounds like maybe not all of infinity is blatantly racist, but some of their more vocal members and their leader obviously are.

Second, this stuff about fighting honorably is ridiculous. War is war, do what you can to win. If it’s not cheating, then it’s fair. If you care about winning, then try to win. Honestly, there is way more drama here than necessary. Both guilds are being antagonistic and it’s ridiculous.

Either way keep this crap between private messages then we don’t need to see this drama on the forums theres enough drama already. All everyone is reading is basically a pissing match between the two guillds and who has the bigger E-Peen.

I don’t understand how people try to go and say “Keep this private”. You know, this is a thread in the forum you are free to ignore. Just move on if you’re not interrested! This thread was created for this war in the first place. If you’re not amused, please move on, it’s not like anybody sent you an invitation to come here in the first place…

I think you’re just making a bigger deal out of this thread than what it actually is. This is just a shitstorm thread between 2 guilds at war. That’s normal in every game that has any kind of guild wars system, salt falling from the sky all over the place. There’s no need for you to take this thread seriously if you’re not involved in the war and all. Many just come here, have some gigs and laughs and go away, some come here, read, pick a side and hop right in the cold war, if you are neither you just shouldn’t bother with anything said here.

At the end of the day this thread makes no difference in the life of anyone involved, we’re all grown up enough not to care about anything that happens in here. All the argument here is just for the fun of having a “salty war” and all, obviously the point we are defending is a valid one (xenophobes should be extinct) but it’s not like we can “change” Infinity or their way to see things, nor are we trying to do so :stuck_out_tongue:

And if you feel like you want to post your daily business on TOS Forums just go ahead, maybe you’ll even find somebody interrested in it! Just be sure not to duplicate threads, that would suck

You know something? In the beginning, I supported Phoenix Down 100%.

However, as time goes on, I’m slowly beginning to back away from the Phoenix Down support line, and here is why. While I believe Phoenix Down was in the right about giving a guild a what-for about being racist, German philosopher and poet, Friedrich Nietzsche, once said:

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.

I’m beginning to feel like Phoenix Down is going to need to be kept on a tight leash soon, because from the sounds of it, they’re not going to stop at fighting Infinity. While I would wholly embrace the thrill of GvG warfare in an open world, I don’t like what’s being said and done in the trenches. Posting screenshots, posting videos, verbal warfare… and if I remember correctly, the leader himself even said he planned to declare war on other guilds.

Suppose the declaration comes when everyone’s sleeping, and no one is around to decline it. And from the looks of it, guild warring gets personal real fast.

So what type of GvG system is going to be in place? is it going to be like WoE in ragnarok? can only wage war at certain times and able to take towers at those times? if so would it not be in NA’s favor?

I understand your point, well. We don’t really plan on going as low as Infinity, ever. @dragoondurahan deserved some, but that’s just about it.

And no, we are never again going to fight Infinity. One of the reasons for me to think this war would be fair was the fact that THEIR member called ‘Strong’ told me they had 120 members, right after i told them we have 60 members. So yes, i did try to make sure this would be something guild-scaled and epic, but it turns out they had 14 members and ‘Strong’ was just lying. I have evidence on that.

About the guild war system, it’s just so flaw right now it makes it difficult even not to make it personal, there are no leads in-game that can show who’s winning or not, it’s just an incomplete feature.

Honestly at this point PhoenixDown just wants to fight Infinity members, for we know they’ll not place their 2nd tower so that they can brag about 2x1. But i have proof of their lider saying their members to change channel whenever we engage so that we can’t get a single kill anywhere. That’s just silly…

Right now they have this system under development, it’s a ranked cross realm guild warfare, it does have some rewards, and unlike this “open GvG”, we can easily spot the winners, etc

Guild Battles are a type of PVP play that sets guilds of different servers against each other to compete for victory. They will be available twice a day and the overall guild ranking will be determined based on ELO rules.

And I don’t think they will remove the actual tower destroying system, but I do hope they develop it better.

There should be some kind of award for open world GvG. I’m not against it, like I said, it certainly takes me back to Ultima Online’s glory days, where you could just be walking along, and suddenly see a fight break out between two, three, four or more guilds.

In Ultima Online, when factions were introduced (there were three of them, I think), faction members fought and killed each other, and with every kill came a special faction currency. It’d be pretty cool to see this game do something like that.

Since silver is the main currency, why not make war currency gold?

50 gold per first kill of enemy guild member (can only attain once every 24 hours, to avoid res-killing/spawn-camping for more gold) Numerous guild members can’t gang up and spawn-kill one enemy guild member, one at a time, because the award goes on cooldown after the first person gets it.

200 gold per tower destroyed

Special PvP items sell for 25~ up to 5,000~ gold each.

I totally agree, it’s just the same in World of Warcraft, with the factions thing and the PvP (“Honor”) Currency and Achievments. I do believe IMC will tweak this open GvG a little bit more, well, at least i hope they will.

@Vonleo I actually am a huge fan of people posting all their drama on the forums. It makes for fun reading (sometimes).

@theseaver I actually disagree with the implementation of rewards for open world GvG. Quite frankly, it’s not balanced. And I don’t think it ever really can be. All of these sneaky/“unfair” tactics are kind of fun to read about, and I don’t think they should be removed. But I also don’t think players should be rewarded for succeeding in a very unorganized environment like this. If anything, maybe gain some of the silver used to create the tower when you destroy it, but that’s it.

Generally speaking, balance-wise, I think it’d make sense for Guild Wars to be based on a point system. Instead of “Count Tower kills, Count Kills, Count DPS”. Because as it stands right now, there’s no reason to rebuild your guild tower after it gets destroyed. If they made it so you gain points every hour that your Guild tower is up, you get points for destroying towers, and you get points for killing enemy guild members, then it would encourage more active participation.
