Godspeed, noble heroes.
May your battle be swift and victorious; Put those animals in their place after all that misogynist filth they slung at your Templar.

Huh, BRs or SJWs. Is it possible for both of you to lose?

its stalled out, will stream when it picks up later.

Whats the name of the two guilds? All the guilds so far just have ■■■■ names.

Infinity and PhoenixDown

As someone who just witnessed the auto-dec firsthand and the ensuing battle, I have to say Guild vs Guild is the single most broken form of PvP I’ve seen since Vanilla WoW’s unkillable capital city gangsquads.

Here’s my play-by-play as someone who sat in the middle of it all in Ch1.

The game IMMEDIATELY crawled to single digit FPS within mere seconds of the two Guilds even being NEAR eachother, let alone actual combat, which reduced the game to a stuttering mess that was worse than the botspam and connection issues ever could have created.

The GvG process is also incredibly, incredibly broken; the ‘attacking’ guild simply waited in another channel for the war to auto-accept and channel swapped in on top of the ‘defending’ guild’s tower, and then camped the area’s single respawn point; making the entire thing a shitshow within minutes.

The ‘Infinity’ Guild put up a decent fight, being outnumbered at least 6:1 (I counted at least 2 parties for Infinity and 7 for the BRs) and at least from what I could see during the slideshow, ‘Infinity’ could have easily of actually had a kill rate of 1:20 against the BR horde ‘PhoenixDown’, but this brings me to my next point of how GvG is unbalanced: It’s entirely based on numbers.

From my Character Info checking before the event, almost all of 'Infinity’s defenders dwarfed the attacking guild’s members by gaps of 30-50+ levels with equipment to match (From what I could see, PhoenixDown had only 3-4 characters above level 170), but the sheer amount of foes meant that they were able to destroy 'Infinity’s tower while ‘Infinity’ still had level 200+ defenders standing and fighting. There was simply so many enemy guild members that in the game-breaking stuttering, that the defending players could not properly target enemy threats. I watched a Finestra’d spear-wielding swordsman Stabbing into another high leveled opponent, only for the horde of people around to flake away as the unscathed player continued to pound at the tower, eventually destroying it; which I only found out via the server message since the game was quite literally at less than 5 FPS at the time.

I’m currently standing in the Ch1 of the zone watching ‘PhoenixDown’ spam racist/derogatory remarks while constantly spamming CC and AoE on enemy guild members trapped in the SINGLE RESPAWN POINT OF THE MAP and it’s pretty disgusting.

This, and GvG world PvP in general, definitely needs some fixing up: Optimization issues, channel swap abuse, guild populations all being treated the same, and there being ONE RESPAWN POINT IN THE MAP made what would’ve been a really neat event into a 15 minute sausagecarnival.

Well, those are my notes as they were down in OpenOffice as I watched it. All in all I’m pretty dissapointed, but the carnage was a sight to see; at least until it was localized entirely around the respawn point.

Holy ■■■■ thank you for the play by play. Love the way you described everything.

heres the latter part of the battle

Oh is it Italian only guild?

I’m pretty sure that ‘Infinity’ is a guild that internally recruits from a website or group of people, but you’re free to track down a member and ask in-game. They play on the Klapedia server, and have a lot of top 10% members.

I’m reading a whole lot of excuses and that’s about it.

You might stop to think that the terrible performance is simply due to bad compatibility with your setup?

I was there watching also, didn’t lag for me at all… no stuttering or anything even with alot of people fighting. Maybe it’s your pc? But yeah they need to fix some things.

Nice excuses LOL

Where is this happening?

The GvG occured in Levi Stream, and only lasted a short while. I believe Guild Wars last 7 days, regardless of tower status though, so you can probably see them duking it out across the world now.

I’m not directly affiliated with either guild, though I’m almost certain I’ve played with a few of 'Infinity’s members in the ICBTs and dueled a member of ‘PhoenixDown’ once or twice while waiting on Dungeons.

lol idk how the thought u were making excuses that was a very entertaining read though

Any vods people?
