He’s saying that it’s a reliable, effective, and powerful tactic when it comes to winning battles, no matter how “cowardly” it may seem. THe point is that it works, it has worked, and it will always work should the opposition fail to thwart the tactics with an even better one. It’s not really a concept of reality vs. fantasy here, I don’t know how that came up.
War was never meant to be fought on equal grounds. Each side used everything to their advantage - In this case, PhoenixDown, from what I can tell, uses their sheer(I’m not sure how big your guild is) strength in numbers, whereas Infinity uses stealthy sneakydoodles.
PhoenixDown’s front is tough and can prove to be a formidable wall to break. This, along with their numbers, is their advantage. Anyone who tries to attack from the front will be met with unrelenting resistance, that the chances of breaking through are rather slim.
According to your description, Infinity is a rather small guild, vastly outnumbered by PD’s members. In that case, fighting face-to-face with a large guild won’t be a smart choice, so they would rather resort to sneakier tactics. Their ability to strike foes unawares seems to be one of their advantages.
From what I can tell, Infinity is being smart and is avoiding your solid wall and striking on times where it’s least defended.
In the end, I really don’t see a problem in them not fighting you head-on. I really don’t see the problem with it, and in fact, it’s actually rather interesting to see these kinds of things happen rather than the same old brawn fights.

I’ll have to disagree - not about it being cowardly, rather, the notion about it being a fact.
I believe it’s more of a subjective thing; It could be thought of in a different way, one of which is a way to outsmart the opponent. This goes back to the concept of war; one will think another’s tactic is merely a disgraceful act.
Going back to Washington’s previous analogy, it’s undoubtedly likely that, during the war of the British vs. the Americans, the British could have thought of the Americans as cowards for their tactics. On the other hand, the Americans see their tactics as smart and genius. Neither of them are wrong, and both are reasonable. Keep in mind, both sides were handled by intelligent war generals who know exactly what they’re doing.
I will not deny that it can be seen as cowardly. It’s okay to think that. But my main point is that it can also be seen otherwise.

That makes sense. What i most dislike about this GvG system is that there’s no way to define who’s the true winner. You can’t keep up kill counts, some think that destroying towers = winning, but honestly if destroying towers would be the deal, i don’t believe we would be able to just rebuild it after 24h just like that. I mean, of course you “lose” 100k, but to any guild leader around 100k is nothing.
