Stat Reset or Delete Account, anyone else feeling same?

Well, checking in on this it seems there’s at least a few people who have similar feeling about it.

To the people telling me which way to go, I’m not sure you read the post. The intention was definitely more to start a discussion about OTHERS experience with the game than to encourage people to tell me to quit the game, or worse (@haukinyau, etc).

While I agree that account deletion clearly makes the time spent a total waste compared to just leaving the char in hope for future patches, I was more going back and forth about pouring increasing hours into the char. It’s true I could just not play the game and hold for patches (this may well happen) but I think I prefer to try to see if the char can be made viable some other way first.

That’s only MY experience so far, but I only wanted to know how everyone else is coming along. Clearly the guy who posted his giant stack of tokens is doing fine, but from what I’ve read here so far some people are feeling the same way about stat resets.

@PrinceMark I am interested in your petition idea. Let me know where to go to sign or we can find a way to make one together. My guess is some others here will like the idea too.

just be patient i guess, the stat reset pot exist in the game(we had both as a founder pack user)
my guess is ,they havent decide on the price of it,so they cant release the item for now.

just deal with the “lost” for now ,continue to lvl and when it comes out later on, buy it and reset the stats

I’m kinda bias on the subject of Stat Reset potions. I thought about it being available for each character only one time, but even one time is too much for an unlimited amount of lvl’s.

So what if Stat Reset Potions, if they ever to be implemented, were to reset not all of your stats but fixed amount of stats by your choice per potion.

Explanation:
- Have different types of stat reset options, like STR Reset Potion, CON Reset Potion, etc.
- Each potion has a set number of points that it can recover from a certain stat.(10-20 would be enoug I think. This won’t allow people to completly change their build other night. Like to go from DD to Support)
- Each pot can have a ridiculous amount of cooldown time. Like a week or something(I don’t know).
- Different stat pots won’t be affected by cooldown, if you used one of them(like if you used Dex Reset Potion you can still use SPR Reset Potion).
- Or the bought potions can be used only in the range of 20-50 lvl’s from the lvl. they have been bought.(If you bought a potion at lvl.100 you can’t use at lvl. 121/151)
/this one is a bit over the top/

These are some thoughts I had tonight about this issue, you’re welcome to critisize it/add to it/completly disagree with it/whatever else you want do with it.

STAT RESET is NOT available in the TP NPC. SKILL RESET however is available on the said NPC. Even in KR, they don’t sell STAT RESET potions, only given out on events.

Bla bla bla… well this is the consequences of being not doing homework or research. Then blame it on game for not giving stat reset. Come on… now IMC gives ton of exp tomes. My friend’s brother get his character up to lvl150 now just in 4 days. Being lazy is not an excuse.

And during releasing the early access of dlc pack in steam store, IMC already mention stat reset potion will not be available in TP shop in future. Stop crying and move on.

If your character already reach 130+ and you dont feel like remove it, then just let it be and do daily 130 dungeon to hunt petamion for money. Meanwhile you can make another character as main as soon as it leveled up. And make sure you dont mess up the stats and cry again. Daily twice amount of dungeon access I dont think it is a bad idea at all?

Wow…11 more post to 100!!!

Make it happen crowmis

Level 100 should give 1 free stat / skill reset
level 200 should give another 1 free stat / skill reset
level 280 should give you another free stat reset + skill reset.

This makes it possible for you to test your builds out without being burned forever.

Or sell it through TP shop and make it tradeable so people can buy it from the market.

@STAFF_John @STAFF_Max

Hope u could reconsider his ideas…

@Gatygun i kinda like ur idea…reminded me of a game that provide this type of incentive so that players can rebuild from their mistakes without them giving up…

But i think rewarding once is enough =p to much and everyone will roll a meta build lol… then it will be a Tree of Meta + Talts.

TBH, just quit. Casual players aren’t invited in this game. Only hardcore players. If you are a casual and you messed up big, either pour another hundreds of pointless hours or as i am saying, quit.

Hardcore will tell you to kill yourself because you don’t research and messed up but don’t want to re-roll again because they have the time to do it while you don’t.

Lastly, i would like to suggest that you should research first before creating a character so that you could refrain from this kind of problems especially in a punishing game like TOS.

Not sure why you’re crying over 50 int on a wizard. How does it hurt your build? It’s not like you put str, y’know? :joy:

And wow! 200 hours, huh? Good job!

Kerosine?
Benzene?
Banana?

Let the blame game begin

If ur investing ur time on this i suggest u should work on that… no one is gonna spoonfeed you everytime…seriously

Can we begin the witch hunt?

ToS isnt really a hardcore game honestly to those who are rampaging around it…

Its a mix between casual and hard

It is kind of hardcore, there are 600 levels at the end, which are not that easy to get. But I kind of agree, most of the builds were made during beta where you could make some change on your stats and skills. A thaumaturge who put some points in SPR and CON is dead ^^

I trying to make an Alchemist but after reached lvl 100+ I got bored. It would be extremely horrible to reroll if you messed your build.

@pareidoliatechno I think you should keep playing because I believe IMC will give us some free stat/skill reset items when they release big update with major class changes, 50 Int isn’t a big deal at all.

Classes are still poorly balanced, IMC will release a lot of revamp, scaling changes in future.

Unbalanced gameplay and mandatory “google research” so you can follow the metas = hardcore gaming lol
