Hi I need the opinion of high level players here on weather SR3 can compete with other AoE dps on ET (ele3 wl2, diev3 doc2, etc). SR will be rotating assault fire/retreat shot wich deals 3hits/sec I think, other classes can stack a lot of aoe.
I need a toon for ET asap and I’m considering my SR, but I don’t want to be sup par with other classes.

Current SR seem to be the best AOE archer and IMO best choice of archer for ET espicially the team up with krevis3 that can meltist to extend your steady aim and glass mole effect.
But this is information from guild mates who do early level ET before we got R8.
Making a toon directed for ET requires 3 things:
Willing to learn how to play. What, where and when are the thing you should learn. What to use, where to use, when to use, these are what you should master in party scenarios considering the many synergies to exist in a party.
Willing to invest. This gives birth to a new thing.
2.1 Willing to learn how to get money, which now gives birth to another thing.
2.2 Willing to persist on doing such repetitive process of acquiring silver to invest which now gives birth to another thing
2.3 Learn how and in what to invest
3 . All the things above require true willing to play. It is not like you are gonna start today and by the end of the weeken you are gonna have another character ready to run ET, unless, sure, that is an alt and you already have everything prepared from a high level toon of yours.
Yes, SR cannot be subpar in there, and perform well. There are some videos in regards to parties clearing the solmiki section of ET, check it out:
It probably is a good idea to add that the people in that video have absurd stats and used reversi and jp scrolls
But back to topic. SR alone may lose to elememe, but SR paired with a chrono, and/or a krivis3 and/or a necro is fantastic. Whether SR is or not the best aoe class for your ET runs depends on what team you’ll be running with
SR is the best AoE dps for ‘Archer’ (right now) still waiting for Mergen2 cross finger. But not really the best AoE dps for ET.
