Steam file check is not an efficient way to catch botters, they don’t need to edit the files to bot. Server sided implementations should be made. For example, most of the bad bots will repeat actions, like this one here, making them really obvious and easy to ban.
In addition there needs to be an efficient way to report bots, I’m going to assume that not everything is logged on the server side, so when someone reports another player, have the server log their actions for the next few minutes that way support can affirm they are botting. Though honestly everything should be logged and flags should trigger when someone is reported for botting whether for manual checking or automated.

If she was speed hacking or extrem ranging. That’s a hack.
Macroing is a form of botting, the rule of thumb is 1 input, 1 output, if 1 button press lets you afk for 1 hour, and its not the leave something on z, it is botting.
Think about it for a second, there are plenty of programs that reproduce key inputs. If sending scripted key inputs is not botting, then I don’t know what is.
In addition, where do you draw the line if you would allow macroing, someone packet editing would just send those same movement and auto commands too, there is no difference to the server or to other players if they just send the packets.

okay lets say Macro(feature of key board) is botting. OKay fine. but what about players who put something on Z, is it still considered botting?
There is an easy solution to that, implement the same thing Nexon implemented in MS, if your character is in the same spot for a long time without moving your autos do no damage till you move. And no, I wouldn’t consider it botting, there is no way to distinguish a rock and someones finger.
well we do hope they do that, but considering how things go for now I think that REAPER is a better solution. Just make that reaper SMARTER and ANGRIER

I currently am seeing alot of characters with fgfdgdgfdfd for names. they are using none sense names. I notice all this characters do is kill monsters you can find them in maps around orsha lvl 70-90 maps.
These bots roam and just attack they seem like bots and they act like bots. Its there a way to fine people like these? cause they may be detrimental to the game economy
it’s a shame that they don’t get autobanned for using nonsense names
It’s just weird since all the characters on the map are just iterations of each other’s name.
