Tree of Savior Forum

Soon is F2P, some helpfull infos for newcomers? :)

  • Open Notepad and take notes of everything you read about different job classes at the forums, the Pros and Cons, etc

  • Watch many youtube gameplay videos, the iCBT, kCBT, and the new ones

  • Have an understanding of what job class you want to aim for, and the purpose of it, then go on TOSBASE and use the skills simulator and read ALL the skill descriptions to see if they have proper synergy mid / late game, and get a better understanding of attributes, what they do, and the maxed level of each of them, whether they have a toggle button or not, etc

  • Go back to the forums and read more guides with that knowledge you have, and you will be more than ready when the game launches and you wont screw up like half these other people did

MY ADVICE?

Try not to get disappointed with this game, because it’s not going to be as good as you think with the current problem, bots and spammers of selling silver are going to dominate the chat.

also, forget about Dungeon, because all you will get is Dungeon Excess Count, no matter how long you spam the ā€œenterā€ button to enter the Dungeon ( my record was 40 minutes before we gave up entering dungeon )

the good side?

the game is actually pretty decent, graphics and classes are fun to play

My advice is rainbow builds are bad bad bad, don’t play one.

Rainbow builds you mean from all ranks some class ?

be ready for delayed post

Don’t make a swordsman

The best advice i can give is : stop read this forum, is full of haters, kids, rats, spam.

  1. Enjoy the game

I dunno if this has already been covered, but when you 100% a map (which means you explore the map until it’s 100% complete), you have to like, hug the walls. The visible map is not the entire map, there’s fog around it that you have to catch via running up to the border.

Then you can get 3x cards per map by speaking to the Wings of Vibora NPC in town, which is really handy for leveling.

Yes, like one of each class, but only 1 circle.

Welcome! Here’s my advise.

Don’t waste your time.

Follow this guide TO THE LETTER or suffer MASSIVE GRINDING because stupid devs can’t balance exp to play time or mob count for reasons…

It says kTOS, but it works for iTOS.

Follow it or be stuck at lvl 70-100 for 2 weeks…OR WORSE, expelled!

Oh. Also when you are leveling. Try to keep switching maps back and forth between orsha and klaipeda. With your level Accordingly.

Most people i know, they did all the quest on the other side of the map. Then when they switch to orsha ( if you start on klaipeda ), by the time your level will be too high and you wont get any exp at all if your level are 10++ above the monsters

Buy the buffs from Pardoner (Sacrament + Blessing). They will help you one shot every mob at low level (very useful especially if you play a weak-at-early-game class like wizard 2 ).

At first i think the duration is just 400s and 45s, but actually the duration is ~1h

Leveling is really not that hard, you just look at your world map and go to maps you’ve not completed. Don’t over exaggerate.

Research your build thoroughly.

Listen to players that have in game experience with said classes, but always take multiple opinions. Everyone is prone make mistakes from time to time. There is also such thing as a difference between how fun a build is to play, and how practical it really is. Some of the best performing builds out there can feel like a chore to level.

$1300 ? Well most games you aren’t running that great then. I agree with the point though, optimization needs work

lol it’s an inside joke =P Which, ironically, you help confirm; a $1,300 PC isn’t a beast (a player who will remain unnamed has boasted repeatedly about his $1,300 gaming PC being the reason he doesn’t ā€œlagā€ and can achieve 25fps in fedi ch1 when it’s not even populated heavily, everyone’s jealous, and other players have potatoes lol) He’s gotten a lot better in the last few days I guess though =)
