So you think repeating your arguments over and over again somehow makes them more valid or what?
It would be if you actually responded to them instead of answering one and ignoring the restā¦
Just my two cents:
Personally, I loathed the quest markers. In most MMOs, having them killed any sort of adventuring dead. No party would want you to explore a dead end unless there was a big glowing ? on the map, denoting something of note.
I much prefer the way it runs now: Speak to every NPC, because you will never know what you missed if you do not. Makes people explore and rewards them with things not everybody will have automatically.
It also makes people approach background objects to check if there is anything missing or not, or talk to gate guards just to see if anything will happen.
The main quests canāt be missed anyways, as you basically start the chain with a cutscene at the game beginning and never really end up without it, handing you between objectives and NPCs.
It also puts more importance on socialisation, because talking with players and asking them where the juiciest quests are now makes sense, where before you only had to walk from quest hub to quest hub following the question marks.
Oh dear god, this one of those threads where you quote each post that disagrees with you and then try to disprove each and every single point as furiously as you can.
Can we just agree to disagree? If the game is ālinear enoughā then why do we even need the quest marker? Seems like you can find the quests just fine if itās linear⦠and adding quest markers will just make people like me upset.
So if itās THAT linear, then why does it matter if thereās quest markers? Why do you even care if itās that easy to find quests without the quest marker? Itās just a minor annoyance to you, but it pisses someone like me off. Letās just go for the route that is less upsetting.

[/quote]And no.
Hah, I kid. I have presented my arguments, the others have presented theirs, IMC will probably ignore half of them and just go with what they decided on already. As far as Iām concerned, Iām done with the topic.
How can we become friends :v haha
Edit: On topic: I myself have found a few hidden quests, so I like it the way it is ^^.
Yeah, initially side quests are marked but IMC decided to remove the marking and let the players explore themselves. When all the NPC are marks i believed most of the players will just click through them without even reading a single sentence lol
