Some classes thats needs to be ballanced (mostly buffed case game is hard as is).

Hello Saviors ). In this topic gamefans can share their opinion on classes thats unfairly weak.
I will start first. I have bild 2 pyro 2 thauma 2 necro. What bugs me most is my 4-5 rank thaumaturge. Only skills i use in pvm - is his ATK buffs. His main hand buff gives around 260 MATK with atribute lvl 50. Well not bad, BUUUT preist blessing from circle 2 job gives about same damage boost -_-. I also got off hand MATK buff wich is weaker. Howewer this buff dosent work on 2h weilders such as doppels or fletchers. I myself can not use staff weapon and forsed to play with karacha dagger. Another misscalculation of mine - corpse cannon need aoe attack rate even more than it needs matk. Swell body (enlagement of monsters) unusable on high lvl maps becase monsters is hard as is. This skill dosent double current hp , but heals monster for 100 % of his health. Even in party in most of cases we didnt kill them before skill duration is out. If i went 2 circles of linker instead, it would be better for both pve and pvp. But linker is 3-4 circle job and thau 4-5 !
Ways i see it - he must give more matk with his arm buffs and swell and shrink body skills must give more debuffs. For example - high chance to case confusion status with shrink body.

I wellcome any opinion. Even argumented comments about my stupididty is fine. But i trying to make my own bilds in almost every smart rpg i play.

Apparently Thaum is effective with Necro, Linker and FF- capable of killing enemies within 9-15 seconds regardless of their hp value.

But I agree that Thaum still needs some buffs. The flat bonuses are not very valuable at higher ranks, even for a full team of Archers.

Thanks. Well in ideal party when you have druid healer, ele3warlock full int, con pelasta 3 Fletcher 3. You can actually use swell body even in abbey and storage. Probably… But still both crono and linker way better than thau class. So some ballansing is needed. I belive its not only underpowered class in game.

well, i believe u can use it for world bosses, if u have a thauma 3 bufing ur swordie he will deal a lot more dmg and get the cube

I have actually one Thaumaturge lvl 104 with this path :

Wizard > Pyro > Linker > Thaumaturge

I’m going for Enchanter, so in my case, I don’t really care if my 2 ranks (because I’ll take Thaumaturge C2) of Thaumaturge are not worth it, I made it mostly for the costume which is amazing, and because, hey, this class is so funny to play.

As said above ^, Thaumaturge can do powerful combos as a DPS Wizard. But I think, despite the fact buffs are maybe not so strong at end game content, they might have a big utility in GvG. I never did GvG, only checked videos about it, so I might be really wrong on this part. It’s all about number of targets… Thaumaturge buffs have no restriction for the number of targets, so I think you should be able to cast your buffs on your whole guild mates.


Thaumaturge 3 buffs with full attributes :

It’s strong in many type of contents : GvG (if it works like that, everyone become much stronger), PvP (same, everyone is strong, and if everyone has a shield… helloooooo MDef), PvE (Swell Body !). Now for WB, you can only buff your team, or it was bugged when I tested to buff random players, but my Thaumaturge was unable to buff them :disappointed_relieved:. You’ll have to find a party to be really useful.

I think Thaumaturge is a class which is mainly underestimate because of all the flat buffs, but I feel like this class is leading to more diversities in build paths.

Thau buffs dosent work for summons. And i dont have swordie pet. I spend a lot of time for this bild ( currently lvl 271) And its not that much bad. If you wont count my purity case sp potion and corpse parts cost. But stll with current balance linker would be much better.

Thau buffs only work for your party (5 ppl max including you). And for endgame content such as ET you need MOAR links. 20-30 enemys at once is no joke.

So, how is it working in GvG ?

Dopel only gets main hand buff. Go pirate and you benefit from both my buffs -)

If your buffs have no restriction of target number, they should work on everyone.

By the way I forget to answer many things >_< :

The main problem for blessing is the limited number of hits. Thaumaturge buffs, in this case, are much better to support multi-hits classes. Even Linker which is a good class has a limited counter hits for JP (150 at lvl 15 of the skill).

Actually, Swell Body doubles the HP of the mob and heal it to 100%. I had to test it many times and max HP of monsters are really increasing x2. But I trust you for mobs with 300k hp or more, this skill might be really hard to use, and more if you have it only at lvl 1. At my lvl I’m unable to kill mobs I enlarged by Swell Body, unless I use joint penalty. In dungeons I try to do JP on 5 mobs, then HK to stack them, at the end I’m using Swell Body, and try to smash them until they die. Generally, the mob I targeted with JP is the only survivor and I cannot kill it, but I killed 4 enlarged mobs.

Thaum buff is better than Blessing in the sense that Thaum buff benefits from multipliers (Attribute enhance, etc).

Blessing and Concentrate add to damage line after all other calculations are done. It can be good or not as good depending on the situation (Good for fighting mobs way higher than your level, not as effective if your damage rotation relies on 1-hit high damage abilities with high multipliers and/or base damage).

That being said, Blessing is one of many things Priest brings to the table. Priest gets Sacrament and Stoneskin, as well as Mass Heal, Resurrection and Revive.

Even if we assume Thaum buffs are amplified by Transcendence, Thaum class still needs serious buffs.

Classes that needs balancing imo are All classes without percentage scaling.

I m not shure if this game needs any nerfs with those strong monsters. maybe just 10-20 % incoming damage reduction in pvp and gv. About buffs you probably right. For example i didnt seen any highlvl rodeleros or shadhus in resent time.

Some classes is weaker than others. Maybe case they dont have balls. I myself playing fermale character, but can woman even beat men in any fair competition in real life ? I dobut it.

Women can beat men in stacked competitions :confused:
