I think this guide is meant for people with really bad cooling on their CPUs. If your CPU temperature is on the stable low 30-60s while the CPU is at its normal state or overclocked, this guide will lower your fps more. I myself got my fps lowered from 45-60 in a semi-loaded town down to 15-25 fps.

- he was using a language he was not that well-versed with(iām not putting him down for that, but it is a disadvantage for a technical guide like this)
- i admit i got confused with how he worded his explanations

- if a technically inclined person like me got confused with his wording, what are the chances that an average person would get confused as well?
- the majority of people on the internet are stupid
- to avoid such stupid people from getting confused, i pointed it out to him
- i also flagged him for moderator review, so the people who actually know what they are doing(assuming IMC staff and devs do) can review it and take precautions since it could potentially increase their workload if a lot of people got confused and accidentally overclocked their systems and broke it, then blame IMC for it

i open this posts objective is helping someone low fps issues with their machine spec meets this game requirement.
i start play tis game since 31th march , for the first feeling when i start journey ā¦ really very lag ,.fps.very low tis i nvr seem before . i tried all solution what i can search by google, but very regret all is not work for me.
whats i tried :
1 - upgrade and downgrade diaplay card driver version
2 - upgrade and downgrade motherboarf chipset driver
3 - added client_tos.exe into gpu control panel and optimize display settings via nvidia control panel with full performance or full quality
4 - optimize user.xml configuration
5 - disabled steam overlay
6 - added -dx11 or dx 12 on steam luanch option
7 - repatch , redownload tos game client
8 - use razer game booster
at the end i give up other guys solutionā¦ i change to trace out why tis game so fxxking laggy. i download alot monitoring tools like msi afterburn, rivaturner,cpuz,gpuz, ludashi ā¦
finally i find out whats happend for me : cpu core speed for tis game wont inteligent adjust for my machine. tis game keep using low core speed(800mh) wont auto adjust when i enter game .tats why i need an overclock tools to force my machine core speed fixed at 1600mhz. i tried many overclock like intel extream turner, msi afterburnerā¦ (too many cant remember all the software name) , i recommand ThrottleStop because this software no need too much overclock knowledges compare with other tools.
i shared my 3days research result + 2 days experiment(makesure temperature and software are stable) at here, hopefully can help some others same situation as me. also hope tis posts can be a clue to let other proās can sharing their idea and solution at here.
at here i special thanks senemsem85 share another software at here, and also happy seem thebatotot sharing him overclock knowledges and provide many advice for me. thx Kadyr give me so much support to me i very happies ,.but i wont marry to you

Man, you are awesome.I thought I was the only one who had these disgraceful FPS drops so bad. I have also researched everywhere, litteraly. And absolutely nothing would stabilize the FPS, even though I have a pretty decent computer. And then when I had given up already, you show up and create a topic āSolution for low fpsā. Then I tried with little hope, since the white knights had made me believe my atempts were useless because only the developers could solve the issue. Well, your guide seriously made this game playable for me, and Iām just loving it, which didnāt happen when my FPS were so unstable. Thank you again. I hope to see you around.

gonna need some help for amd users D:
if interesting, u can try Proccess Lasso. itās freeware.
it can change CPU affinity - for ex. run game in 1 tread only (bind to core). on some systems maybe it can get little more performance. core parking very strange option.
yet process resource priority, exclusive power profile, etc.
i have 40-60fps in towns, 100+ on fields, so canāt say anything about results.
still working

You can also change CPU afinity through Task Manager (go to ādetailsā and right click on āclient_tosā), at least on Windows 10, because I did this a few days ago (and it did not solve my problem btw).
by task manager u must do it at every program run (or use keys for launch).
PL makes permanent rules (when launched). but yes, it the same.
tried Proccess Lasso will below settings :
- Priority Class set to high (no worked)
- CPU Affinity set to 1 or 4 (both no worked)
- Classifies as a game (+around 5 ~10fps)
- I/O set to High (no worked )
- Limit Number of Instant : 1 or 4 (no worked )
- Less Common Action : Lowest or Highest (-5 ~ -10fps)

interesting. useful to know that affinity does not change anything.
Classifies as a game - likely it changing all process settings to high priority, performance power plan and maybe something yet.
anyway, game need strong optimization. using 1 core in 2016 itās strange. or shame.

check your nvidia control panel 3D settings , is it your game preforming in GPU . cause some nvidia card wonāt autodetect this game to use gpu program.

in game settings choose āLow Perfermanceā , disabled all game effect , and choose vertical sync off -
CPU Core Speed
please download CPU-Z install and execute after install

go into game , check your Core Speed how many in game
1: its there, even took off the global settings of āqualityā and selected the lowest/off for everything.
2: I have already done those, also playing with true full screen.
3: My FPS doesnt seem to be affected by my core speed, same thing with 1600 or 2000.
Any other ideas?
