SOLO DPS issue for 5/5 daily quests (TOPIC EDITED)

well, it becomes an issue when a player turn his class to a DPS class. ASPD (attack speed) is one of the factor that affects the DPS. especially when we face greater HP and greater DEF monsters, ASPD really does something here. i think DEV should concern in this point.

But we do have attack speed ?

i thought no way to affect the ASPD?

We have lots of skills that change atk speed

A.Speed is too dependent on ping, making gameplay too dependent on ping is bad game design. Already is an issue with full auto attack builds, adding move A.Speed could be a gamebreaker for many countries.

sorry, for my noob question. let say if i am a swordman, what skills that can actually affect the ASPD.

what if i am solo most of the time and i need something to affect my ASPD, like scroll or potion?

things i brought up the attention here because daily quest 5/5 is somehow a difficult task for lower damage attackers or non-DPS players.

There’s only movement speed potion, there isn’t any Attack Speed increase skills for clerics ( as far as i am aware) that can be placed into Simony Scrolls.

Quarrel Shooter have Running Shot, Doppelsoeldner have Deeds of Valor as independant skills.

that is why i want to highlight at here :smiley: we can’t always get a party for our tasks or quests somehow. the difficulties come when the classes build are not toward DPS path. it is pity for the people who played full support/tank with minimal attack abilities. am i correct?

this game is still very much depending to DPS :confused:

If you are a Swordsman, you have this:

If you are an Archer, you have this:

If you are a Wizard, you have this:

For everything else, you want to add additional attacks instead of attack speed. Here are some examples:

Previously, a class named Centurion gave even more additional attacks (it actually divided your single attack into 3 attacks), but that class was removed. We might see it again in the future, in some form.

for some reasons if the builds are not able to get these skills, then it is quite unfair for people has lesser DPS ability right?

seriously, classes imbalance make this ASPD a huge factor concern…

Unfair>>>>able to heal themselves,debuff immunity, increase block, no damage from attacks in safety zone. Nah I don’t think clerics need aspd anyway

If builds aren’t able to get these skills, it simply means they are based on something else …

I plan on maining a full support healer, I am aware that solo play is going to be tedious, but come on, a healer doing less dmg than a DPS isn’t a surprise.

And as some already said it here, your quick auto attack will be heavily ping dependent.

The general idea is that if you’re a tank or supporter you specialize in something and have a better mastery than others, You can’t name yourself ‘full support’ cleric who is actually a closeted ele3 by going full int C3 Krivis into Sadhu 3. The same goes for ‘puretank2k17’ who doesn’t even glance at peltasta circle one in their lifetime.

If you want fast attack speed for the DPS you will want to invest in those jobs and give up other luxuries. Cryo 3 Chrono 3 is a good example, great crowd control and utility for parties - however their performance on their own in terms of ‘offering DPS’ is much weaker in comparison to other mages ( hint - ele3 and friends), but DPS isn’t their main priority is it?

ASPD isn’t as big as a problem as you are making it out to be at the moment.

well, let say daily quest asking me (a tanker) to kill 90 monsters and each of them is 100k hp. i think i should have to drop this daily quest or spend more time than the others to complete this quest or wait until there is someone willing to help at me? its kind of pain to settle solo tasks where i mean UNFAIR :smiley:

i only specifically mean to 5/5 daily quests.

the daily quest implementation made me thought of this ASPD concern at non-DPS class.

You choose to play tank, if you want more dmg than build your character accordingly …

Why would anyone go full Int Wizard if a full SPR priest deal as much dmg ?

Next step is saying that tank having way more Hp is unfair ?

Or you could, well dunno, get a party which would make it faster for everyone?
Eidt: damn you mentioned, but still getting parties is EASY, everyone wants to get these done fast.
Specially if you have Peltasta circles, aka what yuo have if you are a tank, same for supports people want them because they make things go faster.

I understand what you mean, but it’s hard to do.
Support/ Tank players couldn’t get credits for these new Card monster kills too, but IMC did make the changes so that the kill count feature is shared. But unfortunately it still doesn’t remove the problem you face when there is no party available - what i’m trying to say is, it’s not a good idea to increase the DPS of tanks just for this because trying to improve solo-life also impacts partying overall ( for quests ) .

i hope there is always party for me (if i am non-DPS class) to complete my 5/5 daily quest. but, as i really know, many tanker/FS give up to those high difficulty daily quests. could be a few reasons:

  • can’t find someone to help most of the time?
  • time wasting by doing it alone?
