So they're actually nerfing Circling. Will IMC ever going to rework Shinobi too?

This is what I hinted at when I said

“Doing anything” will force the falcon to use [sonic strike] when PES is active. It will do it on your location because it has no target. I’ve never thought of using jump to trigger it so it might be something, I dunno.

Hitting something just tells the falcon what his target is (it will always be the last thing you hit).

i never intend to confuse anyone, sorry. i wrote: preemptive strike: sure victory in the end I THINK is worth to max,
voicing my opinion only, not to make anyone follow my step.
regarding preemptive require to attack first: as a fellow falconer we provide you info that it actually isnt. adrian.agulto.rn back me up too. it is not exemption to the rule, not abusing a bug, but a discovery to the rule’s constraint.

Then you don’t know what “exemption to the rule” means.

[sonic strike] is a targeted skill. PES is a buff that allows the use of [sonic strike] bypassing its cd. It is still a targeted skill. This is the premise of the skill, and thus the rule. Forcing a targeted skill without a target can be done, hence its an exemption.

Mergen synergy with Falconer died, only Arrow Sprinkle is kinda decent now, the other skills will need you to use AAR equips to work, I would say that you need at least 5-6 AAR to make it work.

And serious… always have Call, the bird have regular bugs so it’s better to have the skill to fix that.

Anyway, I’d still take Mergen1 as a Falc3 because Aiming+Sprinkle is great and at least Triple Arrow is good with lots of AoE attack ratio. For the AoE synergy with Circling:Expand, we have Sapper3 already.

Am I counting wrong, or did IMC mess up again, and that circling is not lasting 23 seconds?

thats… a rule you set by yourself. And when somebody points out something is possible outside your rule, you just wrote that as exemption to the rule.
The only way to find out is report it, if they never fix it then that is what developer wanted, not an exemption.

0 hovering? hovering 3 with new patch deals more damage against bosses than level 10 sonic

Sure they buffed hovering but what if a Boss summons traps or/and minions

And is “hovering: Guardian” doubling the damage or just adding a +100% similar to agny with fire skills? I can’t find videos about it

if they recode the hovering to lock-on to ONE ENEMY (not ONE LOCATION), then yes, hovering definitely better for bossing than sonic strike. Sadly, atm hovering might strike trap or minion instead of the boss

Yes you are correct, but that’s not always gonna be so in every encounter. There are many things that plague Hovering which makes point distribution the way it is.

  1. Hovering easily loses its damage performance once more than one target is in the area.

  2. If enemy moves out of Hovering area, it essentially becomes useless.

  3. In the time it takes Hovering to start up and start attacking, you can use “auto” sonic strike, sonic strike, “auto” sonic strike again, pheasant, and “auto” sonic strike for the third time. Easily out-bursting Hovering in a short span, with more targeting accuracy.

  4. As @Su-Kral said, “doubling the damage or just adding a +100% similar to agny with fire skills?” We don’t know.

  5. It can end up bugging the falcon. (Usually seen from pre emptive hovering)

  6. In terms of enhance attributes, you would most likely max Sonic Strikes, making sonic strike much stronger and more reliable.

  7. Pheasants attributes are too “herp de derp” strong to not want pheasant as high as you can get it.

Damage doesn’t mean much if how it functions is not worth it.
For instance, Hunter has near infinite scaling in terms of damage. It also has a high burst skills on short cooldowns and tons of utility/cc. You would think it to be the best class, but nope. Since it functions like poop, and has lots of bugs, it’s an underplayed class.

But like I said:

Instead of “universal” I probably should of said common or general. Though those are both synonyms of the word universal.

And don’t get me wrong, Hovering is a good skill, especially in PvP. It’s just not a skill that is used often enough by many to warrant keeping 3 points or more in it.

I’m scared, I feel these changes to be too good. I fear we meet linker’s or pyro’s fate.
I dunno if it is possible, at such high ranks, perhaps we’ll be the next squire, I’m scared.

All we’re missing now is that dang weapon slot for our falcons :distinguished:

And don’t jinx it!

I’m sowy.

I wish for hunter to have a small slice of love next week.

Anyway, I still have one doubt: is circling lasting the time it is supposed to last?

These changes are big buff, but remember, Circling was nerfed really hard too, 0 to 1 in AoE defense is too big specially on Archers

In memoriam:

May all Falconers’ souls rest in peace.

Just when you thought it’s buffed, they removed the attributes effect and shortened the lasting time by 5 seconds. Now it seems like Circling is only useful for Cannoneer…

They better give reset potions for these changes. Nobody will use a level 5 circling now. Only need level 1.
And I spent 20+M maxing my “Expand” attribute and heard that they will remove that attribute too. #sad

I’m trying to reconsider on changing my build now and removing falconer if given a chance with a rank reset.
The good thing is they focus the falconer class as damage now, it was more of a support from last time. IMO.

Eh they’ll probably bring it along with a reset event.
Really? before the damage rework falconer was truly a support exclusive, since the damage rework I find it was more damage oriented, now it is even more.

I just, like, really wished they would get rid of call…
The attribute doesn’t count! I wanted call to be no more!
