So I am thinking of making my first swordie. What are some good builds, I know about the dopple one (Which I might go barb 3 after swordie 2) but what are some other good builds that don’t use dopple? Like anything decent you can fit hoplite 3 into anymore? A tank build? etc etc.

my current murmillo has this exact build and its pretty powerful
but i also tried SW3>Hop3>corsair1>lancer during the reset event…its decent but u ran out of skill to use, like after 1 rotation and you will be auto attacking a lot before your skills cooldown
SW > SW2 / Pelt > Hop2 > Corsair3 > Shinobi
SW3 > Barb > Corsair3 > Shinobi / Doppel
SW3 > Hop3 > Corsair / Dragoon > Lancer
SW2 > HL3 > Fencer3
I dont like lancer. I wanted to make murm and didnt know what build i want. But now i know and ill make hopmillo .
I dunno if it is good because I am not rank 8 yet but I have been loving my pelt 2 hop 3 build. blocks for days. was gonna go shin murm, figured the pierce burst would be nice. got much stronger once I hit hop 3+ maga spear. still wondering if I will go pelt 3 instead of shin because the quest seems very annoying but I would lose a ton of burst.
if you wanted less sb and block then s/pelt1/hop3/X/shin/murm
i’m kind of sad that lancer can’t use 1 handed spears and shield. maybe they will be able to hold two handed spears in one hand + shield one day 
Tell me more? Also intersted in that Pelt2 Hop3 build. what would go well with it? I also got a ledas shield, but it seems the ice elemental damage on it is bugged because it doesn’t add it at all. Anything with it usually shows it on your F1 screen as Add property damage, but ledas shield doesn’t show up.
Running SW2 -> Barb 2 -> Corsair 3 -> Dopp
Currently a great farm class, make tons of silver/items with pillaging, and I use almost no SP pots. You will use stam pills instead, but a stack of 100 stam pills is like 8k and stam regenerates naturally faster, so it’s much cheaper.
290 mobs are a bit difficult for me right now, but I didn’t bother fully gearing this character and I feel like if I did, they would be a cakewalk. Great swordie for plowing your way to 300+ easily and farming.
Working on a super secret special snowflake swordie right now for fun that I might main.
I would suggest just rolling characters until you find what feels good to you. Making a meta swordie and having it turn out that you don’t like it would be a waste of time and effort, especially now that you don’t HAVE to play meta with the combat revamp.
My one suggestion is stay away from Cataphracts. They are pretty disgustingly weak right now, optimality aside.
alls i know is that if you want a real tank then pelt 1 seems good from a toughness perspective.
Guard: Defense - Increases physical defense by 10% per attribute level when [Guard] is active (total of 50%)
Shield Mastery: Block - Increases block by 5% per attribute level when equipped with a [Shield] (total of 25%)
p.s. yeah seems that the bug for ledas shield came back 
What about this: Swordie-peltasa2-hoplite3-corsair-murm? corsair is kinda a throwaway rank I just figured corsair for pillaging.
honestly I dunno how good the build would be without the shin burst. pelt 2 is somewhat unnecessary, more so than shin is. the annoying thing about tank + corsair is you gotta weapon swap. i’m trying to avoid that. I decided that for extra loots I might as well be corsair 3 on another char ( I could also use a gun that way)
the idea with the pierce burst with Bunshin no Jutsu is - spear lunge, kunai X2, synchro thrusting X2 while the boss is attacking you so you get the “counter!”
I can’t remember if bosses receive the block debuff but if he does then give that to him before you Umbo BlowX2 and then do Rim BlowX2 since clones also copy that skill.
I think there will still be time left since kunai and synchro thrusting both have 15 second cds so do the first combo again.
I dunno if taking thrust is worth it. I think clones copy it and it does pierce damage and has 5 OHs but I did not bother to take it. the spear lunge debuff last 6 seconds so you might be able to squeeze a thrust in…
I wanted to note this person on the forums that tested some builds with shin and hoplite and a few other shin variants.

My questions are: 1 why swordie3? why not swordie 2 hop 3 for even more crit? also what purpose does barbarian serve in this build?
Also what is its dps like WITHOUT the clones? Is what I want to know.
s3 for double slash which works with clones. barb 1 to get crit buff and slash debuff + barb gives a stun as well.
i’m hoping someone else can answer since I have not hit rank 8 with this char yet, the shin quest has me on hold 
murm damage seems pretty good though. some guy posted a ss of his headbutts critting damage cap (555,555) on multiple mobs.
Yeah but if you use finestra it only works with one handed spear which is thrust/pierce, thus the slashing resist debuff is pointless. finestra 15 would make up for the 50 crit rate from cleave. Then again maybe it has to do with having enough skills to spam so something is always available?
you can use some slash skills with a spear 
some skills are not restricted by weapon type even if they do a different type of damage. so you can double slash with a spear.
Ohhh I thought the weapon used determined attack damage type, I can see now why its good, I might try that build actually. For class order i’d go… swordie2-hop2-barb-swordie3-shinobi and then murm. I figure having the 150 crit rate and +3 aoe attack ratio earlier would help me alot more than having cleave/double slash early. Since at lv 10 finestra can be kept up perma.
What does stats look like for this build anyway?
the person in that video went full str. some say to have around 50 dex for some block penetration.
Wonder what skills as well. Any idea?

the thing I like about tos is that you can go several different ways and be fine.
Alot of spare points in that build too. I like it, i’ll try it. I just hope its not complete arse when bushin is down.
