So does fletcher>mergen work?

I’ve been seeing a lot of bad things about a ranger c3> fletcher c3> mergen build.

I know ranger and fletcher are good for their own reasons, but is mergen that bad? I currently have a c3 ranger c1 fletcher and the original plan back when rank 8 came out was to shoot for mergen. But after seeing all the hate for mergen, is there an alternate way I should go? Or should I just leave said character to gather dust until class 9 or a mergen revamp?

I like mergen, nothing wrong with that class. a2-sap2-fletc3-mergen is meta for ET now

Yeah, Mergen is a pretty good class with AoE skills If you like bows then go Mergen.

IMO A2 Sapp2 Fletcher3 Mergen it’s better cuz you have nice AoE from Sapper | Mergen skills while single dps from Fletcher skills.

Ok, so what should I do with my ranger c3/fletch c1? If A2/Sapp2 is a better build up than ranger3, I have no clue what I should do to “fix” this character. Any ideas?

how much have you invest into this char attribute? i think you better hold this char temporarily, make a new archer2sapper c2 and try sapper gameplay. if you dont like it, just go back to your original build.

I’m not very invested, havent played it for months. I’m only looking to lvl it up now because of the new growth stuff and team lvl. But if it’s no good for now, I’ll just go do other things, yea.

I have the meta Sapper - Fletcher - Mergen, the Sapper skills are not that good with only 2 ranks, after you get some AoE attack ratio the Mergen skills and Divine Machine Arrow are the only AoE that you need.

In the future if possible I’ll reset this one for something like Archer 3 - Scout - Fletcher 3 - Mergen for more utility and less skills to use, because a crowded skill bar is horrible too.

Sapper 2 is good for ET/Solmiki because of broom trap (have 80 attribute), and even better with chrono in party.

But scout will be nerf soon and archer c3 for crit rate is there another way2to fix an ar x x x flt3 mergen?

care to explain in detail what nerf are you talking about? i never heard any of it except 5 overheat split arrow which has been up since may 2017

Oh sry i way talking about cloacking cold down after end, so if we are talking about pick 1 circle for the utility is still worth after this. The meta way seems still stronger

cloaking cd is still 35 second in ktest, nothing changed

It’s the change in PvP and only PvP, after you use cloaking the cooldown will only start after you get out of the skill.

A mergen with godly weapon still can do crazy damage. There is a youtube video somewhere with that. My mergen is still my main char so its not too bad.

Is fletcher 2 enough? Im thinking sap2 wugu1 fletch 2 mergen. Wugu 1 for extra bossing power.

No, the core abilities from Fletcher are Magic Arrow, Divine Machine Arrow and Barbed Arrow/Crossfire.
With Fletcher2 you don’t have access to Divine Machine (circle 3 only) and your Magic Arrow (circle 2 and 3) can’t be leveled past 5, which means less hits available (17 instead of 27, with Divine Might from Cleric) and it’s your main ability on Boss scenarios, so you’ll lose more than what one rank in Wugushi will give you. :frowning:

Magic Arrow cooldown is indeed 5 seconds, but the skill hits over a 10 seconds timeframe at any level, so more hits = more DPS.

  • With Magic Arrow LVL5, you’re dealing 155%*15 hits (2325%) over 10 seconds = 1,5 hits per second (232,5% DPS)

  • With Magic Arrow LVL10, you’re dealing 155%*25 hits (3875%) over 10 seconds = 2,5 hits per second (387,5% DPS)

If you’re Fletcher2 already, there is no reason to go Wugu1 instead of Fletcher3, you’ll have more “bossing power” with Fletcher3.
