Hi friends! This is my first post, and it’s for my first character too.
I’ve always loved the archer class and made sure to play it as my first character in any game I try out (RO, Luna Online, Dragonica, Grand Chase, etc), and so I chose an Archer as my first class here in ToS. I had no idea how class progression worked when I started this game and I felt that going Ranger was the way to go for me, so I did.
Now, I’m level 77 Ranger C2, and I want to build it into a Sniper Musketeer with AoE utility DPS skills for PvP/PvE.
This is what I have so far! I only started planning my class progression now because I’m about to get to Rank 4 so I have to somewhat work around what I already have.
I was really planning to go for Ranger C3 because Bounce Shot is such a sexy AoE DPS skill, but looking into it more I think I’d benefit more from the Archer C2 Swift Step +25% crit attribute. I chose to leave Swift Step at level 8 since I’m only after the crit buff anyway and the duration is 3 secs more than the cooldown, giving me enough room for making mistakes/running out of sp/casting other skills. Maxing Full Draw because I want people to stay put for a longer period of time so I can keep moving and snipe from a distance, and I took Kneeling Shot as a utility skill.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but does Swift Step 25% crit bonus stack with Sneak Hit 5 70% crit bonus = 95% crit increase? This is mainly why I wanted to go down this path. Taking Vendetta 5 because +25 STR is a pretty big deal, and Capture 5 because it’s a must for annoying opponents.
I left Flu Flu at 1 as a status-inflicting utility skill, and taking Cloaking allows me to steal magic circles or move behind Full Draw-pinned/status inflicted opponents for critical Snipes more easily.
Snipe and Headshot are my main skills as a Musketeer. I took Bayonet Thrust 1 as an emergency utility skill and Penetration Shot 1 as a utility AoE. Based on what I see, I think Covering Fire is more useful as an AoE DPS skill for PvE, am I right?
Stats right now are 20 CON, 31 DEX, and rest on STR. I plan on focusing on STR from now on since I’m relying more on crits and I’m probably putting in some SPR because Musketeer skills are hella SP expensive.
Please let me know what you think. Hope to learn a thing or two from you guys! Thanks lots!
Cheers!
