Skin tones are almost here... and it's a joke

We got a new dev post from kToS: http://tos.nexon.com/lab/dev/view.aspx?n4ArticleSN=105&fbclid=IwAR0Q-aa8lw-hRipOZxYLc_5B1lQyAdxRMhu3dNutQLhmdduv3AL5i7OSLBw

They announced a lot of things, if you did not take a look, may be worth it. However, they also announced this:

I have no words… What do you guys think?

PS: What happened with this?

Hey, at least it brings in a bit of variety.

Also I like that blue skin tone. Gives “avatar” a new meaning XD
I can see a guild of smurfs already XD

Probably only available via cash shop so who cares

I think integrating the extreme tones to new npcs would be better before introducing new skin for players out of nowhere…

We got white, brown and grey humanoids, so those colors are normal in this world…

but where are the carrot and lettuce people?_?

are they the inhabitants of the famous capital?_?

Things like that should be adresed before making big moves, I mean the game dragged it lore already by having wizards and other classes move to scout including big names like the Bullet marker and Scout masters

Agreed. The issue is: ToS devs never gave a sh*t about lore, specifically when it’s related to cosmetics. Etinic representation in games is an admirable thing, but should be done right - the tones here look like were taken from zombies… what

The black skin color should be better polished, we can barely see the character details. Also, the darker ones deservers a little extra yellow tint, to not look like morbid people. But overall it is a good addition, can’t wait for these colors to be added.

Green, Orange, Blue, or any other “non common skin color” for humans? That’s a big no no

Hope you guys are listening to us, @STAFF_Bob @STAFF_Yuri

The worst part about the unnatural oranges and greens is how saturated it is. It doesn’t really fit at all.

Wow this is… bad.
Why do they think grey skin tones is good? It’s not that hard to add actual human skin tones but instead they are going with neon green. Wowie. I’m gonna guess you gotta pay for them too.

PLEASE allow us to change our already made toons skin color for free, that is all

and make them free period, no excuse to make people have to pay for their own skin color that they have in real life

lets not assume too much, most of the skins could be free leaving the extravagant colors to the whales if they even come…

Lot can happen from here to then so let just be vigilant so it all goes well for all of us…

imo they need to present us with the graphical option to disable the skin tone display if they are going to implement green, orange and blue skin tones.

These colours will ruin the atmosphere the game creates, tbh it reminds me of some cheap Ragnarok Online private server where some races are introduced with different sprite colours.

here it’s cosmetics. And most probably will be paid feature.

My problem with the tones is they are greyish, it’s almost disrespectful for people of multi ethnic background like me

Players: Can we please have more skin colors
IMC: But muh lore
Players: Pleeeeease
IMC:

Yeah they’re really bad skin tones. The first ones looked so much better…

I don’t see a problem if they do it right, tho since i’m not found in lore i won’t say they should. It looks like they threw the character into an ink puddle and it solidified over the skin, but just as the regular skin tones they need to review the shading along the colors.

Apparently their quality sprung a leak along the way and was not only lost but contaminated…

Probably, so I’m going to point out how racist it would be if they didn’t offer free change per char since it wasn’t available at the start and I’m a tan boi IRL who’d of picked tan skin.

I like the greyish brown colors but it definitely would be better to have the warmer colors too.

I think some ppl will be able to make those extra skin colors look good but I already see lots of abomination running around XD so it would be better to choose more “realistic” looking skin colors… I mean mostly pastel colors…

Also why don’t they consider another race then?

As long as I can make my character’s default skin be the “ghostly white” from the new Giltine costumes, I’ll be happy

I quite like the grey looking ones too, make the character look like an undead. But I do agree they need to add more normal colors first.

After REbuild the game turns into a great freak show

One thing i could wish to not see today…oh my god, help me…this is too much for me at least…e.e".
