Skill Simulator Beta

All Rank 1 Classes are now complete, Highlander is also done.

I also improved the preview of Skill Builds so when you add them to Discourse you will now see the class icon, and the selected classes

Ok, we decided to move back to kTOS client again as it gets new updates. Because of this some descriptions are korean again but most are still english as the text wasn’t changed. I hope that as soon as the translation project is running again the changed descriptions will be adjusted aswell.

I saw 3 new skills:

Cryomancer Circle 3:

Wugushi Circle 1:

Oracle Circle 1:

We are still in the process of adding missing values to the detailed skill descriptions and will recheck the existing ones for possible changes during the last patches.

Ok new update

As Attributes can be pretty important to decide which skills you want to pick I added them to the Skill Simulator. Below each skill you will now see little icons of the Attributes. If you move your mouse over the icon you will see a tooltip with name, type, required circle and description.

It’s not possible add attributes to your skill build. Because there is no limit regarding how many attributes you can level up I don’t think it would be useful, especially since some of the attributes have a max level of 50 or even 100.

Do agree with me and do you like the way the attributes are display? Do you think they should also be displayed for saved builds and not only during the creation?

The process of removing unknown values from the skill descriptions is still going. Today I added all Pyromancer skills. I’m trying to add all skills class by class from top to bottom but if there is a skill you are really interested in let me know so I will try my best to add it with the next update

looks like a handy addition. Nice work Flash!

Thank you very much for the update!

Personally since they’re all new skills I’d be very interested in the Wugushi’s new skill and Frost Pillar’s values!

@Aries are you sure it wasn’t a circle 2 attribute? Because that’s how it’s currently listed and displayed in our database

@Dastev ok, i’ll try to add the new skill with the next update

yer I found where it was, all good. pretty handy being able to read the attributes in the skill calc now.

Good job @Flash! Maybe adding in being able to see the attributes after you’ve saved the build you’ve done would also be a good idea. So that you don’t have to edit your build each time you want to check what attributes you can learn when you check your builds. This will also help people looking at public builds have an idea of what attributes they can obtain if they want to copy a build.

The attribute display is awesome!
I’ve noticed that tooltips don’t scale with levels currently. Is this a known issue? Will that be added later on?

Tooltips scale when you save the build. It doesn’t though while you’re building it.

I see. This should be fixed to update the moment you change the point distribution though, else you have to edit the build every time you move a skill point. It also makes stuff appear broken, at least without an account.

How about also adding a “next level” section to the tooltip so you can see how the skill scales at a glance?

Scaling tooltips weren’t required when this version was released as we didn’t have any scaling values. Now that we add them step by step I agree that it would be useful to make them scale while you level them up. This will generate more to download though but I’ll see if I can implement it without a muc longer loading time. I’m going to add some improvements to reduce the loading time anyway once all skills are done.

I haven’t looked at what you used to implement this (javascript probably?), but I don’t think switching from a single value to arrays containing all the values will increase the loading times noticeably. It’s just a few bytes, maybe kilobytes if you load all classes at once.

Awesome update  thx, I cant see the attributes on my saved builds though unless I edit 'em.

flash can you add the new skills in rodelero class? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6ZxyBIQ0Mo

thanks in advance

there seems to be a bug giving extra skill points on the simulator

Hmm can you give me more details about what you did to cause this bug because I wasn’t able to reproduce it.

Ok, next update.

  • Updated skill tree (now includes 2 new Rodelero skills)
  • Added “required skill level” to attribute tooltips
  • Added attributes to saved skill builds e.g.
  • Skill tooltips now get updated when you change the level of a skill
  • Skill tooltips now show the values of the next level (if available)
  • Cryomancer skill description values are now complete

I wanted to add some more Classes today but then I thought those tooltips would be more useful so I rather focused on them. I hope you like these changes

Awesome. This is one of the nicest updates so far.

Something you can add that could be useful, but probably difficult to do if at all possible, is also show attributes that can be learned that aren’t connected to any skills. Something like the stun attribute of Clerics for Blunt Mastery. Maybe right below the Class name? Just a suggestion though.

And for the skills, maybe you could include the SP and cooldown to the scaling update. That would probably be useful too.

Btw, the 2 new Rodolero skills don’t show up for me. Idk why. D:
