Skill Gems AKA Monster Gems for Archer Class

Skill Gems are low lvl drops from monsters with the corresponding name.
You can only use Skill Gems for skills that you already have.
When you put the gem into a weapon you get a +1 lvl to that skill, even if the skill are at max lvl. This way you can get a lvl 15 skill up to lvl 16.
The gems do not stack, so using two of the same gem is pointless.

You use a Skill Gem by placing it in a socketed weapon. The Blacksmith can socket a weapon for you for a price.
Look at the item description of the weapon to see how many sockets it can have. Normally it’s 2.
For a price, the Blacksmith is also able to remove gems, but the skill gem will be destroyed when you do this.

Afaik the monster drop its gem. So lupusbunny gem would drop from lupusbunny.

so can you put 2 of the same gems in your weapon? cause i just red about the running shot gem + didel grand cross combination in another thread

Im new to this game. Can archer use mage, warrior and priest gems too or nah?

No, since each unique gem gives +1 to a certain skill and archers dont have any common skills that are used by wiz, swordie and cleric

you know what mind blowing… put Running Shot Gem into Grand Crossbow… and use it to cast the buff… than switch to your main weapon…

and keep the level 8 buff that makes it like 320…

NOW IF ONLY i knew which monster i need to farm to infinity so i can get my gem + sell rest i would XD love it cause for that running shot gem… is KINDA hazy…

the damage boost isnt carried over when you swap out the weapon. but you still get the duration

it isnt? i thought it did cause i felt i did more damage with my 2 handed bow when i did that… instead of just casting it with my 2 handed bow out.

Well, if you clicked on the link in the post, you would see that it was Deadborn Scap that gives the gem you are looking for.

It’s even in the item desctiption of the gems.
“Cannot be used with same effect simultaneously”

u can’t stack the gems how about the grand cross combination…
Does the item interact with the gem ? or is it already counted as the same effect ?

I thought I can use someone else skill if I got the gem needed… but no… wtf… so it was somewhat useless… I guess or probably we will only feel the usefulness of these gems on late game.
