Simple Solution to KS'ing problems

The only solution to all this whining is using the gw2 system where everyone get’s rewards as soon as you go over a certain damage/support healing threshold.

Over the past 15 years that seems to have been the only one that doesn’t result in so much QQ on the forums.

So in other words you want rare stuff without needing to put any effort on it, or that you don’t want there being any rare stuff in the first place.

I understand that there should be limits on how hard some item is to obtain (there shouldn’t be items that drop only once per server) but you want to destroy one of the core elements of mmorpgs. That feeling of getting obsessed for getting some item and finally getting it is one of the cool things about mmorpgs.

If bosses spawn too rarely, then it might be a problem that needs fixing, not the fact that not everyone is able to get drops from them just by scratching it.

The current world boss system is bad due to how easy it is for groups of high level player being able to exploit and monopolize every boss. No one at the right level for the world bosses has a chance to get loot due to people 200+ out damaging everyone on world bosses. This is a serious issue with Templeshooter which sorcerers need. Its only level 75 but can anyone honestly say the groups of level 75 players are getting any cubes?

Ranger C3 Bounce Shot + lvl 10 condensed SP potions… :stuck_out_tongue:

An amazing solution is to allow a party to teleport to a private channel of the map your in.

Like once everyone is in a party, put a dungeon entrance npc that sends you to a map that only your party can go into thats a duplicate of the map your in.

If this is too much to get every map a npc, have a poll or investigation telling where all the famous grind spots are, and have the npcs put there.

If the drops are not relevant then why would you care at all? :stuck_out_tongue: No matter what you will always hav to leave what youre doing if you wanna make it to the boss fight.

Also if you see full dps parties, just make a party where you have supports to increase a good dps’s damage. Partys combined damage doesnt matter, only one of the party members needs to be in the top6 for the party to get loot.

But I would just make friends to do those with. People rarely wants randoms in their party and a PUG group created on the fly is hard to make powerful enough to get loot.

But luckily IMC is most likely smart enough not to make world boss loot available to everyone. Its not meant to be something everyone can have without putting the work into it.

No, I’m saying the current system is corrupted and in favor of elitist players controlling the market which if you ask anyone about world bosses that’s what they’ll tell you. If you have to tweak the drop rates for this change go for it but right now as it stands why should anyone bother going for world bosses when the same players are getting all the loot simply because they have gear made already that puts them at a DPS priority. DO you HONESTLY think it’s fair that if the top 5 DPS on a world boss are together they all get 5 cubes meaning 25 cubes just went to the same people?

Another solution here is to fix-limit people to 1 cube, have a party check ran so these all DPS parties are now only getting 1 cube per person now. This allows room for the other 20 cubes to go to other people granted it’d still be level 200s so the people who would benefit off the loot would still have no chance of getting it.

Maybe have the system check and make sure the person is STILL fighting the boss not just a single tag but constantly contributing. Right now the system isn’t fair and world bosses are being monopolized… There’s a difference.

Oh yeah and make the timers more frequent? You’ll just make the player monopolizing the bosses even richer. That solves literally nothing because they are controlling the supply of these items.

@Jonnu
In my case the drops aren’t going to be relevant for awhile, why would I drop my grinding? However in the cases of Sorcerers going after Templeshooter that’s an entirely different story.

Also you’re really missing the point here, players that would benefit most off the loot for recipes or otherwise can’t get it because the same groups of 200-280 players are timing and camping each boss basically meaning they’re monopolizing their drops. These people also probably have the best equipment accessible to them right now so competing with them is impossible… all you can hope is that some other high DPS party isn’t there so you can get the “last” 5 drops available… which is just messed up.
