Simple fix for "Failed to download pak files" errors

Tried every single method available. This fix worked for me temporarily (I’m using 11460 as the no in the release.revision), it later caused my connection to the server to become extremely buggy. I’m getting kicked out every time I try to load my character from the lodge.

Verifying the game cache always gave me the notice that 3 files are missing, 11458 to 11460 and it does not auto acquire the file.

We are aware that some players are experiencing problems patching and launching the game at the moment. We are looking into the issue, but in the meantime here is the workaround. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Go to Steam\steamapps\common\TreeOfSavior\release
Open the release.revision.txt file and edit the number to 11460
Validate local files through Steam and check to see if the language is set to English.

It is partially working, changing into certain channels, however kicks me out of the game.

I have been experienced with that “kicked out from the lodge” before. And i did fix it, my solution was completely download the game again, and if the patch still doesn’t work, use the release.revision fix.
I don’t think you need re-download the whole game again though, what i can say is while modifying the release.revision. The patcher tried to download the ipk file and thus, breaks some of them. Try deleting the patch folder and verify again before downloading the whole game.

Hi there, the game is running for me now. but certain channels are off limits for me and will kick me out to server selection screen, such as channel 5 mausoleum f1. Tried your method to reacquire the 2 patch folders as well, but the last 3 files ( i assume to be 11458 to 11460) does not update itself with the integrity check. I reinstalled two times as well.

I’m currently uploading my working patch ipk files, please wait for a moment.

Try downloading this, unrar and replace these ipk files to the patch folder

Had this problem myself, worth a read.

I’ve tried this method also verifying cache, reinstalling through steam, hard restart to my connection, turning off my firewall, using a vpn, tunneling my connection and manually allowing connection for this client all did not work.

This is not a proper fix it may work for some but not for all, it might just cause conflict in the client as you’re forcing the client to skip the patch which in turn the game will not run even if you have put the patch manually into the folder. In any case, do not delete or move your entire patch folder it won’t change a thing.

It is also possible for users with strong or fiber-optic connections to experience this, basically there is no fault on the user’s end but it’s their server having high traffic because on a user’s end connection packets are still being sent but not bouncing back.

This also applies to the error that says something about administrator problems.

Basically i endured to the next morning when it’s not a peak period to get the client downloading

Some people tried using VPN and it works :slight_smile:. Try using VPN if all the solution listed above don’t work for you.
