the game went full release and its the problem.a game cant ask what ever they want for cosmetic items.if its lets say 5$ then 100000 people will get it but if its 25$ then may be 10000 will get it. over pricing is never good. its not help that the game have almost no customization in the first place. then there is a really big p2w. - lans1234567890

ok i understand you now you didn’t get what i say may bad.
“then there is a really big p2w” what i wanted to say here is on top of over priced cosmetic there is a big p2w.
i am sorry it was not easy to understand , my english is not so good.

more proof

at this point i start to think you dont read and just troll.

well i’m all riled up because a pretend haircut in a game that i’m not going to pay a dollar for, that happens to be in another country, isn’t worth it imho. break out the pitchforks lets all fly to South Korea and protest this in real life. Though i wouldnt know what you would protest as you havent spent a dime on this game, and don’t need to. Games make a cash shop with uber items in it, people get pissed. Games make a cash shop with cosmetic items that they feel are pricey, people get pissed.

Honestly, if they had like a 5 dollar sub, and a cash shop, all the people upset would reduce dramatically because they wouldnt pony up the 5 bucks to play so they would probably just leave the forums and this game eventually. Thats one reason i like subs. It really weeds out many of they crybabies, riff raff, trolls, and complainers to a lower %.

F2P games always bring out the nutjobs in droves.

I guess F2P = coach. B2P = business class, P2P = first class.

The cosmetic items are just one problem of many. But since we’re on the subject, 30 dollars for 1 hairstyle is insanely expensive, and is honestly not a micro-transaction at that point, it’s a macro-transaction. I have never seen a game that charges that much for cosmetic items even in games from companies that have the sketchiest practices when it comes to in-game stores.

The very honest fact of the matter is, and will remain that if you want this game to succeed in the west then IMC will have to bring the prices down significantly. You can fanboy defend it all you want, and you can tell people to “simply not buy it” all you want, in the end the game will still be a massive flop once people see the prices for things in the shop, they will snapshot it, post it all over reddit and other communities, log off and never come back and the game will become just another blunderous joke to the gaming community that people meme and reference in what NOT to do when releasing a new game. There are too many alternative options for MMOG’s in this world, ToS doesn’t really have anything particularly unique about it apart from it’s art style that you can’t get in other games, and believe me I also want to play and look forward to the game but I won’t support a company that won’t learn from it’s mistakes, own up to them, and fix them.

In most games, hairstyles/hair-kits/etc cost around 5 dollars. Costumes generally cost around 10 in most cases, sometimes I have seen them for 15 but it’s extremely rare. That’s what a micro-transaction is. Small, inexpensive, justifiable, and likely to attract people to make the same transaction because it is all of those things. A 30 dollar hairstyle, or 20 dollar ability to trade will attract a very small number of people, and alienate or turn the rest off. It won’t work here. Ever.

Would it make you feel better if they called it a “donation” item? Maybe… if it was like a charity dinner. You know… Steak and twice baked potato $500 dollar a plate to pay for game developers forced to work 12 hour days 7 days a week during crunch time.

I’m not a fan boy of this game, i’m more in the “who gives a crap” camp in regards to cash shop prices. I don’t use the cash shop, nor do i care if someone else pays a dime or a dollar or a hundred bucks for a cosmetic item.

I’m also not going to blatantly say expensive cash shop items leads to a game failing, leads to me not wanting to play it, as an argument. Tell you what, every game that comes out, i’ll point out what sucks about it, therefore it will fail, therefore I won’t play it. this can be done for every game.

if the game lasts more than 6 months, then you are clearly wrong. if the game lasts more than a year, for surely you are wrong, so just log back in in a year and if the game is still around, you were dead wrong about the severity of expensive cash shop items causing the game to fail

So boring… first world problems everywhere T_T
