Shutup and Play #firstworldproblems QQ over cosmetic items

So people complain about cosmetic items nowadays?
WTH, people complain if a game sells +stat raising items, but if they dont and just try to make money via cosmetic items, people go nuts too.

Ifi you dont like cosmetic items, then don’t buy them. If its too expensive just play for free. if you feel yourself getting behind, then spend a couple of bucks.

If you feel like a sub is not worth it, then try to keep your monthly ToS spending to less than 15 bucks and you are spending less then a sub

Well we have first world problems here with people QQ’ing about cosmetic items. DONT buy them then! Why stress out about the morals of Nexon charging people for ingame haircuts? who cares, go nuts about a real moral issue in the real world.

Some people are going to be unhappy no matter what you do.That’s true for almost everything.

I do think prices for in-game cosmetics should be reasonable,at least. But I will say that all the people converting the cost from Nexon kOBT to here are wasting their time. The prices will not be the same.As a frequent spender myself,my only issue with the cosmetic route is gacha style boxes.I’ll pay more, just give me what I want. And no tiers, please.[I’m looking at you,Aura Kingdom…]

Could also say the same of you, just saying.

Actually Nuts are a real problem in the real world for real squirrels,
So we can say it all depends on one’s perspective and point of view…

Be open minded and let squirrels go nuts !

I’m not going nuts and converting currency etc. Dun try to use the “so are you” reply. It sounds like people are getting seriously upset about this. which is again, another point. If people are getting upset, I meant, get upset about something in the real world, on a real morale issue.

I can post on a forum for an observation i see. but people are actually protesting this. So they could use their energy to protest a real issue, not an ingame haircut issue. If you are going to be nuts and passionate about an issue, make it count, not about ingame haircuts IMHO.

I have zero passion for the haircut issue, just making an observation about #firstworldproblems. No need for you to be devil’s advocate to my devil’s advocate. But then again, its forums and people love to go into tangents.

The cash shop is just icing on the cake. The game has a lot of problems right now; it is quite frankly unfinished in a lot of ways in regards to both bugs/exploits and content, and the uproar about the prices of cash items is just fear that they’re going for a quick cash grab and then abandoning the game, and the events leading up to the official release the other day could definitely be seen as such.

I’m hoping it’s just nexon’s hand in things pushing the game out before it’s ready with IMC scrambling to fix issues (they’re still putting out regular balance updates that people have been asking for and are working towards fixing the issues with exp, so this is a good sign) but defending the poor state of the game and pretending nothing is wrong isn’t going to help.

Its okay you guys can play the game then welcome to RO1 2.0 pay to win version INC to US soon. Have fun playing with 0.5% rates and needing to buy those 37 dollar exp boosts or spending 20 dollars just to use the auction house and 2 dollars per item listed. The auction house in RO never required cash shop points in order to use it. But welcome to RO1 2.0 where you can’t use normal features like trading because it supports bots and hackers so they remove it and make it pay to use though the auction which probably still has the exploits that make people lose items when the server crashes  But I love how you guys are defending it meanwhile korean’s are protesting and they have more money to burn on games then you

Well you started it by having enough time to post a “shutup” post on the forum, and i’m sure you could have spend that time more wisely reflecting on #firstworldproblems too, (so are you!) (don’t see why we shouldn’t use this argument when it’s obviously fitting well)

I’m free to go nuts about whatever I want, you’re free to criticize all you want.

Cosmetics are pretty much the least of the problems people are bringing up on Korean TOS release.

Maybe the issues you do or do not know about are largely not much of a concern to you since it’s issues on another server, but I don’t think us international players are wasting our time in learning about them and expressing concerns/telling IMC to learn their lessons when they try to release over on the other side of the Pacific (assuming server locations are going to be where they’ve held icbt2).

again, i’m not doing an ingame protest or a currency calculation. So your comparison is wrong. My post took about 1 minute of a time investment, and each following reply takes about 15 seconds. So the time investments are waayyy skewed, if you want to go into a tangent into my post. have fun. of course I could do another post about how people waste time going into tangents on OPs. Some OP makes a main point about an issue and someone goes into tangents on a side topic which isn’t impacting the main subject. and so the cycle of infinite potential side topic items goes on and on. great, go nuts.

Lol,I don’t think I really have to argue back at this point.

Tangent :
I don’t really see your point, in the end you’re not really complaining about their time investment but more that they are doing something as you see as pointless and they could/should reflect on something you feel is better for the world. (real moral/world problems). In the end aren’t you asking them to forsake their interests for something else that is better for society?

Although I would agree if everyone who has enough free time (all of us included) would go reflect a bit, the world could only be a bit better tomorrow. But I don’t see that happenning since imo most people are selfish by nature (me included, except some ppl that did more than 1 year of volunteerism…enough so to see that they care and they wanted to help)

On Topic :
I also have a hard time to see why people are complaining about cosmetic, free to play model is usually like this, with a minority investing a lot of money in, making the game live (server, people costs) and the majority playing for free.

You’re just being myopic and seriously averting your eyes from the real problems if you think the real reason why people are angry is simply over expensive cosmetics.

Your also free to go play in traffic. I suggest the roads around Napoles Italy, most people dont know how to drive there.

numerous hacks and exploits already seeing widespread abuse, incomplete/non functioning skills and classes, complete removal of integral game mechanics like trading and horrible PR is totally just people complaining about cosmetic prices, yeah.

can’t even say “it’s just the beta” because the game went full release as of yesterday

Maybe they using Korea to further the “beta” tests for the international and Japanese versions, since you know, we got way more money to spend. Lulz.

yeah, because this absolutely wouldn’t be the first mismanaged cash grab korean import MMO in NA right?

Unlike most games going through third party publishers in NA, the devs themselves are publishing the game here, so complaining and not tolerating the legitimate mess that’s going on in korea right now might actually help. blindly defending the serious problems of this game and trying to downplay legitimate criticism isn’t helping. ToS was and is not ready for a full release.

Just gonna drop this here since not much point in arguing against people who think everything is fine with the game http://treeofthesavior.blogspot.com/2015/12/tree-of-savior-released.html
